Aphelion Spirits has been open for about two years now, previously under the name of Seaya Spirits. After undergoing various changes, the shop has been remade and will now only be on tumblr in order to keep all information in one spot and make contacting the shop an easier process. 

Each spirit listed on here passes through a rigorous vetting process for at least two months, to make sure that not only are they fit for working with humans, but also to make sure they know exactly what they are getting into with companionship. We take safety very seriously, and because of that, we take more time to ensure that no one will get hurt, meaning that even custom conjures or reverse adoptions will take at least two weeks or more. 

Aphelion Spirits preaches for safety, good ethics and a close contact and communication with our clients; we will do anything in our reach to meet the best of standards and provide a safe and reliable service. For the same reasons, we avoid working with minors, and we also have a set of boundaries when it comes to the spirits we work with.

Each conjuror has different conjuring, housing, vetting, binding, and matching processes, and we are more than glad to answer any doubts that may arise.

“I sense my spirit companion clearly” for anon I hope you like it!!

A big part of spirit companionship is the idea of bonding with your companion by doing activities you both enjoy. While some spirits prefer things that may require you to be public about your practice, here are some “covert” ideas for bonding with your companion without looking like you are trying to work with a spirit. (Note: these are general, and some of them may not work for you and your companion)

Watching movies/TV together- This is a great way to see what shows the spirit may like, and who knows, you both may find you have the same taste in shows!

Cloud/Star gazing- Just pop down on the ground and see what shapes you two may see. A neat idea would be to do Cloud or Star divination with them by asking questions and using the shapes of the clouds/constellations as answers!

Cooking- Try to make their favorite foods, or make yours! A great way to learn more about someone is to find out their taste in food.

Reading- You can read books to them, with them, or just sit in comfortable silence together as you each read different books. Maybe you’ll even find a new book that you both enjoy!

Looking at tumblr together- Scroll through your dash and even reblog a post or two that you think they may enjoy, or even make a blog for them.

Singing- I always enjoy singing along to songs, and it’s even more fun when my companions join in and sing along (even if they may not actually know the lyrics!) For added fun: randomize different and new playlists, and make up your own lyrics together!

Drawing- Neither of you have to have artistic abilities of any kind, just take turns drawing something and see how it turns out.

Q: Why is the shop named Aphelion Spirits?

A:  The shop, formerly known as Seaya Spirits, underwent a name change after a brief hiatus. Betelgeuse had originally come up with the name for Venus before he joined the shop.

Having in mind that Aphelion is the point in which a celestial body is its farthest from the sun, the other conjurors agreed in using that as the new brand since spirit work and companionship aren’t usually things that people are so open and vocal about. 

The name also set the tone for the three of us, and that is why the shop is often celestial themed.  That’s also the reason why our listing tag is #perihelion, since it is the opposite of aphelion; when a celestial body is its closest to the sun, as are the people closer to finding their new friends.

Q: What kind of spirits do you work with?  

A: We work with most kinds of spirits, but because of our preferences, it’s more likely to see specific kinds listed in our shop such as: shifters, canines, vampires, dragons, demonics, death, and storm oriented spirits.  

Q: What spirits don’t you work with?

A: Each conjuror has a different type of spirits we will not work with:

Conjuror Venus does not work with overly sexual spirits.  

Conjuror Pluto does not work with demonics.  

Conjuror Betelgeuse does not work with angelics.

Q: How long have you been conjuring for?

A: All of us have been conjuring for others professionally for about 2 to 3 years, but also have been doing it casually (for ourselves, friends, etc) for much longer.

Q: What does your conjuring process consist of?

A: Each conjuror does it differently, and occasionally the spirits approach us without the use of conjuring. 

However, when we do conjure, the process is usually similar for the three of us; we cleanse and set wards, set some offerings to thank them for their time, and call upon the spirit in question. When the spirit shows up we talk a bit and spend some time to get a general feeling of them and with that we decide if we will call upon them again and offer the companionship option or not.

Q: How long do you vet your spirits for?

A: All of our spirits are vetted for a minimum of 2 months before they are listed.  

Q: What does your vetting consist of?

A: The vetting process does not differ much for the three of us, being very similar to a selective process for an important job. It consists of interviews, tests, visits, medical checkups, mental checkups, etc. The spirits are warned about all of the process’ steps and are consenting to all of it. We do the best we can to make sure both humans and spirits involved are as safe as they can be.

Q: Do you do distance bindings? How do they work?

A: Distance bindings are to be discussed with the conjurors personally so they and their spirits can evaluate whether they are willing to do it or not. All of us are well experienced in doing distance bindings.  

Distance bindings are not much different in execution than the regular ones, but they require a picture of the object the spirit will be bound to. With that we can focus on it and for a connection to be able to do the energy work necessary. We also ask that you cleanse the object beforehand.

Q: Do you do Custom Conjures/Reverse Adoptions? How do they work?

A: Just like distance bindings, CCs and RAs are to be discussed with the conjurors personally to consult their availability. You can read more about how we’d perform these services on our pages.

Q: Do you rehome spirits?  

A: We prefer to work only with spirits that came from us. If any of our spirits and/or clients want to discontinue the companionship, we’d love to be contacted and explained the situation so, this way, we can talk to the spirit and find the best way to act.  

Q: Do you ship abroad?  

A: We do. Price of shipping is not included in vessel price, and will depend on the shipping location. 

Q: Do you offer refunds?  

A: Due to the nature of our services, we cannot offer refunds. If you have any problems or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us, and we will find a solution.

Q: If I have an issue with one of your spirits after purchasing their binding how will you proceed?

A: If any issue is found, we encourage everyone to contact us immediately so we can talk and articulate the best way of solving the problem. We’d prefer to be contacted firsthand instead of having other people involved in it.

Q: Do you offer spirit information sheets? What do they consist of?

A: Spirit information sheets can be delivered upon request of the companion chosen by the spirit after they have been picked.  

Spirit work is such an intense and distracting line of work, that sometimes people forget to take care of themselves and think about the effects that it can have on them, mentally and/or physically. Here are some important (and highly UPG) rules/tips that I have come up with.

1. You do not owe the spirits anything. 

-It’s important to remember that you do not owe a spirit anything. If a random spirit starts asking you for something, walk away. (Note: This is different from giving offerings/doing something because you want to)

2. If the spirit makes you uncomfortable/hurts you, it is well within your rights to kick them to the curb.

3. Don’t believe everything they say.

-Spirits, just like humans, can lie

4. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

-Not every spirit is an angel sent to protect you or your ultimate guide, some of them may pretend to be something else to get you to work with them or trust them

5. If they make your mental health worse, then it is not worth working with them.

6. Consent is key.

7. Don’t allow them to pull you onto the astral if you do not want to/are scared.

8. Don’t accept gifts if it is likely that there will be strings attached.

9. Don’t Travel into the Astral without any protections.

10. Discernment is important!

-Just because a spirit comes in claiming a soul connection doesn’t mean you owe them anything or that it’s true

11.You are not obligated to do spirit work 24/7 take a break if you need one.

-If the spirits breach boundaries or try to interrupt your break despite being informed that you need one… They need to go.

Recently, one of my clover dragon friends has decided to teach me more about their language and culture so that I can speak properly and be respectful for when his sister comes to visit again. Here are some notes I’ve taken in regards to it:

Their word for hello is “Wusva”, and when you say it, you are supposed to tap something with your left hand (doing this is supposed to show that you are acknowledging the person with every fiber of your being)

It is very common for the older dragons to cover up their horns, especially when they are around younger dragons, because to them, it symbolizes knowledge and strength that the younger ones have yet to have (to show off their horns would essentially be like bragging)

Instead of using adjectives to describe words, they prefer to create suffixes based off of their surroundings. For example: If the object being talked about was “cow” sized, they would add -vir to the end of it, because there is a “cow” spirit in their realm that they call the Virl. 

When talking to another species that is part of a peaceful treaty, it is custom to put your hands in front of you, with the left sitting on the right, to show that you do not mean them any harm.

Their goodbyes are similar to the hello, and while you say goodbye, you tap something with your right hand

Description Rainey is an energetic and extroverted hellhound who likes to make new friends and travel. She loves to create, and spends some of her spare time either knitting or building pillow forts. Despite her extroverted personality, she can be a little shy and insecure at first, and would prefer her new companion to have a smaller family (less than five other spirits). The main thing she is looking for in a companion is someone who enjoys exploring and learning about new places, as well as someone who is willing to talk to her at least three times a week. Appearance Humanoid Form: In her human form, Rainey only stands at about 4'9, with jet black hair that’s currently styled into a bob and slightly tan skin. While she has an athletic build, she prefers to only do strenuous activities in her hound form, and only takes on her humanoid form while relaxing. Hound Form: In her hound form, Rainey looks similar to a beagle, and stands at a little under two feet tall. Offerings Rainey would love to receive blankets, tea with lemon, piano music, yarn, and stuffed animals. She would also enjoy going exploring or cloud gazing.

Rainey’s vessel is a faceted blue jade wrapped in sterling silver wire, and strung on an 18″ sterling silver chain. (25 USD plus shipping)

According to their creation mythology, the Enncki came from a single shifter spirit who could take on the form of either a human man, or a crow. He would pull pranks on people as a human and fly away once someone spotted him.

Tired of his tricks, the other spirits asked for a powerful spirit’s help. The spirit trapped the Enncki into one single form: that of a man with a crows head, and that form has been passed down to his children, and their children, down to the Enncki today.

Communication

The Enncki communicate with each other using a series of clicking noises and head gestures, though they can communicate with humans and other spirits using telepathy or any other form of divination.

Appearance

As stated above, the Enncki have human bodies with a crows head. Most of them appear genderless, with their skin color ranging from a light grey to pitch black. They typically wear dark colored robes with modified hoods that cover their faces.

Conjuror Venus

Venus has been working with spirits for about ten years now, and a witch for five. She is the creator and owner of Aphelion Spirits, and makes many of the vessels listed on the shop as well as the witch kits and spell jars.

She prefers to work with all kinds of spirits, but has a special place in her heart for animal or shifter spirits. Her spirit family mainly consists of werewolves and fae, and she prefers to spend all of her time either visiting with them on the astral or meeting new spirit friends.

Conjuror Pluto

Pluto has been working with spirits her whole life and independently working with them in her own practice for about ten years.

For those ten years she has been a death and storm witch, and the kinds of spirits she interacts with for the most part reflect her practice. Her astral life allows her to also meet a wide variety of dragons. She spends a large part of her time in the astral overseeing her empire and raising her children.

Conjuror Betelgeuse

Betelgeuse has been a spirit worker, energy worker, and magick worker for his whole life, having started due to influence of his family.

His first spirit companion was a guardian who bound herself to a stone he found as a kid, and ever since then he has never stopped befriending and interacting with spirits. He has a preference for dark inclined spirits, but is not limited to this kind, looking forward to help any kinds of spirits find an ideal companion. He often spends his time with his family, visiting and talking to his ancestors, or dealing with diplomatic and royal businesses related to his Empires.
