I took some screenshots of panels in case I wanted to do something like this. I looked extensively at Doug’s paintings then tried to copy some thematic elements. The words are, in true Rattmann fashion, slightly altered from a real poem by Carl Sandburg.

My curiosity got the better of me when I started firing off my portal device in hope of getting close to the two jugs of water I could clearly see through the fan blades.  After a few attempts I was successful, I carefully slipped through excited by the idea of what would be waiting on the other side. To my right I found a small examining office with the door ajar just enough for me to peek in, To my left however, the hallway came to an end as debris had blocked off our route.

You know what always freaks me out about this part of Lab Ratt? .

That split second at the very end of this clip where the guy looks down the corridor like something’s coming.
