Galadriel is the daughter of Ëarwen and the granddaughter of Olwë, both being Teleri. So allow me this headcanon : Galadriel knows how to sail. Not only she knows how to sail, but she has been amongst the ones who taught Ëarendil (and why not Elwing too ?) how to sail.

Does this mean she sat and watched her cousins flailing useless about on those stolen ships out of spite during the flight of the Nolder?
