me, walking out of a store i was caught shoplifting in without a citation or police getting involved: incredible, the worst performance of my career, and they never doubted it for a second
Little reminders
Eating more calories than you wanted is better than binge eating
Eating above your planned calories is better than eating out of boredom
Maintaining weight is better than gaining.
Losing .1 is better than losing nothing
Losing half a pound is better than nothing
Not losing weight one day does not = failure
Doing only stretches and nothing else is better than not doing anything.
Walking the dog once is better than only doing stretches
Doing a short workout is better than no workout at all
Not having a heavy workout day does not = doing nothing
Having one happy thought is better than none
Being anxiety free for one 5 minute period is better than none
Having a panic attack or episode does not = ruined day
Doing one piece of schoolwork is better than doing none
Reading 5 pages of a book is better than reading none
Doing part of your school work is better than doing none or a little
Doing something is better than nothing
Not doing everything in a day does not = day wasted
Not everyday is perfect In fact most days aren’t
At the spot you are at now maybe no day is perfect But little changes and little steps deserve praise Any improvement is worth noting
Something is better than nothing
This weeks rules:
Drink a glass of water first thing in the morning
Brush your teeth often
Stay clean and take care of your health
The total calorie intake of the day can’t be more than 400 cals (after I’ve substarcted the calories I’ve burned)
On Friday and Saturday you can have a total of 800 cals (after subtracting the calories I’ve burned)
On Sunday you can have almost whatever you want ( it’s like a cheat day)
Try to weigh yourself every other day
Fast AT LEAST 16 hours a day
Chew gum
Drink energy drinks to survive lol
Take your vitamins
Feel free to add something 😅
i also want to talk about how dysphoria can fuel eating disorders to the point that thinness maintained by a restrictive eating disorder can feel like an integral part of gender expression for trans people & how the demonization of fatness in our culture can hugely hinder the recovery even of people whose eating disorders always revolved more around dysphoria than the fear of being fat
i want to talk about how the culturally enforced ideas of thinness as the epitome of androgyny, thinness as the epitome of femininity, & “maybe not thinness but definitely a lack of curves that can sometimes only be obtained by thinness” as the epitome of masculinity poison our thinking as trans people & contribute to an overwhelming epidemic of eating disorders in our community disproportionate to even the epidemic in wider sociey
i want to talk about how controlling our food to control our bodies & to control our minds & to feel like we have some control over circumstances that are wildly out of our control is horrifyingly commonplace in the trans community & no one is talking about it

This is it.
How can I ever hope to achieve my goal when I haven't yet realised;
FOOD IS NOT PLEASURE, FOOD IS FUEL.
I am changing my mindset. I'm done with the whole cycle of dieting and bingeing over and over again. I am seriously sick of this and I am disgusted with myself.
I have gotten so far so quickly and as soon as I encounter a plateu, that scientifically do happen and they happen for a reason, I just give up and gain it all back. I have already gained around a kilogram back and I don't want to gain a single gram more.
If there's anything to blame, it's my childhood and upbringing and allowing myself to have these bad habits and continue them.
I will not continue these habits.
I will not allow myself to continue these bad habits.
I will strive to become a better, more controlled person.
Food is not pleasure, it is fuel.
Food is not pleasure, it is fuel.
Food is not pleasure, it is fuel.
Fuel is eaten when actually hungry. Fuel is *not* eaten when a person is bored, stressed, emotional or any other reason such as 'I deserve this because I did x' or 'it's a special occassion'.
The only occassion that is special will be when you lose the weight you wish to lose.
Then, and only then, you may even consider treating yourself.
FOOD IS NOT PLEASURE, FOOD IS FUEL.
Take-out is no exception to this. Take-out is food that you cannot accurately measure the calories of. Therefore, take-out, whether it be Chinese, Indian,Peri-Peri chicken, or whatever else, is food eaten for pleasure.
FOOD IS NOT PLEASURE, FOOD IS FUEL.
Sugar in candy bars, wafers, sweet fizzy drinks, chocolate that is less than 85% cacao and such is food eaten for a dopamine hit. Sugar is food that has been scientifically proven to be more addictive than cocaine. Food that you are addicted to will make you gain weight.
Sugar is a type of food that is eaten for pleasure.
FOOD IS NOT PLEASURE, FOOD IS FUEL.
I will assert this and I will say this now. I will not give up and I will fight every day to wake up to a lower weight and lower percentage of fat on my body.
I will not give up.
I just need to realise and beat it into my brain;
Food is not pleasure. It may have been in the past, but it is not anymore. I cannot let texture and taste and pathetic dopamine release affect me.
I am better than the foods that trigger a brain response.
I do not need foods that are manufactured to trigger a brain response.
I am not an animal to consume such things unknowingly.
Food is, and only ever will be fuel.

Dinner, 200 cals worth of chicken, and then a spinach salad (negligible calories) with <30kcal of dressing (total: ~400, predicted net of ~200) Tues: bkfast: 90 kcal worth of fiber cereal in water, no lunch, dinner is 180 kcal serving of mixed veggie rice and veggie water and spinach salad if im still hungry. (total: ~300-350, predicted net of ~100-150) Weds: no bkfast or lunch, dinner 400 calories of chicken or any other protein, spinach salad, apple or fruit of choice, any other vegetable with no cal limit.
