EDITABLE REBLOGS NOT WORKING? WORRY NOT!
so my editable reblogs finally broke. after doing some 2am digging, coming up with a redundant solution, making an ENTIRE TUTORIAL for said redundant solution, and realizing it’s useless, i’ve got the answer to the problem for everyone. i’ve joined the xkit support discord server, and here is what’s been said about the issue so far:
TLDR; EDITABLE REBLOGS WON’T WORK ON ORIGINAL POSTS, BUT IT’LL WORK ON REBLOGS WITH REPLIES. meaning if jane posts a starter and june replies to it without using editable reblogs, it’ll create this trail item. so from then on out, you can feel free to use xkit’s extension to your heart’s content.
so if you’re getting this issue, the solution is simple: DON’T USE XKIT ON THE FIRST REPLY. yes, it’ll be ugly, but everything will be back to normal from there :)

must admit it is incredible he made it out alive. a lucky accident. a week ago, he was gone along with billions of others. today , he’s the only one who's come back. has to believe that it’s for a reason. a spark of hope in disheartened world. reverse the irreversible. body leans in as woman speaks of events five years ago as if they were yesterday. hazel eyes wander features , recognize agony & pain. can’t begin to imagine what is must’ve been like ; past five years living without cherished loved ones. in their place , a guilt that they couldn’t stop worldly threat. envisions a life of trying to move on from such an event , but knows this image isn’t even close to reality. the closest he can get is first experience in new world : ‘ MISSING PERSONS ’ posters that cover every inch of tree trunks and monument site to the vanished that stretches over several blocks. “ i’m so sorry , ” not sure what for amelia’s pain or that he hadn’t been there to help. features soften in attempt to comfort , “ but we can fix this. ” voice of hope , has to believe that the outcome will be successful. there’s SO MUCH he wants to bring back : reunite families , bring back loved ones. his loved ones among them. it’s the only thing that keeps him going. “ this will work. ”
