I know it isn't relevant to the main purpose of this blog, but I wanted to share a little joy I found recently. (If I've already sent this ask: so sorry, I'm super forgetful)

I got a first aid kit at some point, and when going through to see it's contents, the first thing that stuck out to me was that it contained bandaids for multiple skintones!

I just think it's super cool to see bandaids made for Black skin. Like. You know someone out there had to fight to get those produced. And someone out there had to fight to get them included.

It outwardly doesn't appear like that big of a deal and I don't think any of my friends really understood my excitement, but through following your blog I've become so aware of how ingrained into society racism is and these small things make me really sappy because Someone Out There Won That Battle. It's not gonna fix everything but one day I'm gonna be helping someone and have a bandaid Made For Them.

I really do think it's people like you making a difference. You've helped me so much more than you should've had to and I'm so thankful that you run this blog

Lot of people worked hard for the existence of that bandaid in multiple skin tones! It seems like a Given, but it's not!

potentially shocking statement here, but having friends or not (and, among people who do, having specifically intense and devoted and physically intimate friendships or not) is a fucking morally neutral thing. and not having relationships like that does not inherently make a person say the amatonormative stuff that started this whole argument! i don't kiss my friends, but that doesn't mean i'm going on a crusade that kissing is always romantic and never platonic! is that too difficult for you to believe? and if you can believe that, can you also believe that not participating in other aspects of friendships doesn't inherently give you amatonormativity brainrot, either? it's literally just like this:
