J'ai de plus en plus de mal à assumer la dissonance cognitive qui existe entre mes valeurs (anti IA générative, anti-racisme, anti-sexisme, anti-viol, anti-psychophobie, anti-validisme, anti-queerphobia de toutes sortes, anti-grossophobie, anti-police, anti-spécisme et tout ça AUSSI dans le vocabulaire, pro-environnement, pro-droit des enfant·e·s, etc...) et celleux que je regarde pour le divertissement.

Il y en a plusieurs que j'ai déjà arrêté de regarder par moi-même, mais d'autres où je continue ET QUI POURTANT ont des comportements / agissements similaires in a way. (+ peut-être de la misogynie intériorisée de ma part parce que j'ai l'impression que j'ai moins de mal à arrêter de regarder une meuf qu'un mec 😬)

Bref, balancez moi vos listes (avec les raisons svp !) que j'update ma consommation vidéo pour le meilleur. La bise !

JDG j'suis désolé·e à part une énorme dinguerie de sa part rien ni personne ne pourra l'enlever de mon onglet youtube, mais je comprends la critique. Perso je trouve pas que le côté "on ne peut plus rien dire" soit si présent ou gênant que ça (mais je suis très certainement biaisé·e mdr), on contraire il se fout régulièrement de sa propre gueule sur ce sujet. Ratelrock, Bolchegeek & Taoqan je note !

Mes propres recommandations édition vidéos d'analyse (parce que pour le divertissement je n'en ai pas spécialement à reco c'est plutôt que des gros noms desquels j'essaye de m'éloigner mdr) :

j'en avais déjà parlé mais Adam Bros [lien] pour des analyses sociétales & culturelles toujours très travaillées, sourcées et pertinentes (il parle aussi de ciné avec son frère dans un podcast mais j'ai jamais testé donc je ne sais pas ce que ça vaut)

Amistory [lien] & OK CHARLOTTE [lien] pour des docus sur des sujets sociétaux divers et variés

Assiarabian [lien], j'aime beaucoup ses vidéos analyse / réflexion je la trouve toujours pertinente avec des points de vue novateurs, mais elle fait aussi des vlogs (qui personnellement ne m'intéressent pas)

Le Tropeur [lien] pour des analyses médias & fictions ainsi que des aides d'écriture (du moins à l'époque), son Insta est aussi très cool

EGO [lien], je ne sais pas trop comment décrire mais des vidéos assez complexes sur un sujet technologique ou social qui te fait tout questionner et remettre en question (du moins c'est comme ça que je me sens après chacune)

OKAY I NEED HELP FROM Y'ALL

I'm reviving an old serial killer/homicide detective AU for shits and giggles and it centers around two different, active killers operating in NYC at the same time.

The first is a killer they call The Bronx Butcher. He's driven by (mostly religious) delusions and his kills are much more gruesome/gory/ritualistic.

The other is a killer who roams Manhattan and kills much, much more methodically. He is of sound mind (well... as much as one can be when he's murdering people) and wants each of his killings to send a very specific message (usually political or societal in nature.)

AND I DONT HAVE A NAME FOR THE SECOND KILLER. I don't have a specific MO or method of killing in mind so pls feel free to be as creative as you want and I'll work backwards from there.

When I get blood samples at work sometimes they’re still warm from being imminently inside the patient’s veins and my hands are always cold because all the labs Ive work in are in the basement and they keep it kinda cold for whatever reason (and I’m also just a chilly kid).

And I clutch the little warm tubes of blood and feel this sick person warming my hands and I think about how kind you might be and how I wish I could hold your hand and how badly, how really really badly, I want you to get better and stay warm and hold someone’s hand again.

And anyway sometimes it’s better to not think so vividly about the people I’m doing tests for. I’m a good little cog in a vast machine of people all trying to heal and cure, and my cog feels so fucking small sometimes. But I hope the blood I prepare for you helps you breathe better and laugh and wake up feeling well rested.

We’ve never met but you warmed my hands and I want you to know I love you and I’m rooting for you.
