I am moving at MY pace. It is neither fast nor slow, yet mine. 

Please take me back. Sorry, a little clarification. I am not in a relationship with another human being at this time, but I have been unfaithful to you: TUMBLR. Instead of logging on to “blog” about my thoughts, musings, life strategies and new found loves, I’ve been jotting them down in my little red book. She’s my mistress. My guilty pleasure. And most of all, my selfish way of expressing myself.

One may say, I get distracted by different “mediums of expression” so to speak. This time it wasn’t the little read book (referenced above) yet my “career” was the tantamount culprit. A few months after returning home from my 2 years of adventure abroad - after the “31 day Taipei Countdown” was a distant memory (see below) - I set out to dive deeply into the corporate world. Lusting for knowledge, connections and, of course, promotion. I pretty much neglected social media in an effort to remain focused, but in the process I stymied my creative juices. After being promoted 4 times in the span of 20 months, I started longing for outlets. An aberration from corporate life. 

My first stop after my hiatus was to return to the admiration of art and artists attending every summer art show, event, talk and seminar I could get to. 

After some time I wrote a confession, a vow, a fealty on the smallest sticky note I could find: “I’ve spent a lot of time [now and in the past] admiring other’s art. It’s time for me to start creating my own”.

Investing In Me. So here goes - 10.5.2015

My younger sister who currently lives in DC came down to Houston for the weekend (for our baby brother’s sweet 16th). 

There is never enough time. She was here and like the wind she’s gone again. Back to her life. And I’m back to mine. 

I can only image the precious moments these two (Jay and B) spend together and the outburst of emotions when they realize they must be apart for an unknown amount of time. (Or maybe they are numb to it; maybe their schedules are more flexible)

I miss my sister. She balances me out. She is the ying to my yang. She is the seriousness to my silliness (and vice versa). 

Sometimes, things are just better together. Prevention has 12 duos to help you get and stay healthy:

·         Exercise and music to boost brain health

·         Pot roast and carrots to rev immunity

·         Burger and frozen yogurt to flush fat
