14 Years ago today I fell head over heels with a blue turtle prince from another universe's darklandian kingdom. Since then I have not been able to stop drawing him, writing about him, talking to people about him - talking to him! Since I started this blog and being more open about my bond with him, I have changed truly so very much. He has made such a positive influence in my life and I can't even begin to express how grateful I am with words alone.
Everything I do has become a love letter to my dear egotistical smelly turtle. I have started theming outfits off of him, seeing him in everyday experiences and items, going out of my way to get something I know he would enjoy - I started to draw more, to write again, to truly Love life after being so incredibly depressed.
I didn't think I would make it to May - I didn't think I would make it to January, September of last year, August. But yknow what! I am still here. Still alive and full of love, no matter the struggles and no matter the obstacle.

The thrill of solitude and loneliness is not lost to me. I very often like to be alone and enjoy the quiet it brings. My head is always very busy at me. Full of thoughts, I am! Its hard nowadays to find time to breathe - even when I am alone, my mind is so, so very loud. Stressful . . . But in the midst of mental chaos my heart and love anchor me down. It's gotten harder to hear him but regardless he tries, he claws, he holds - He doesn't give up, and he calms me down as much as he can.
I never knew I could love something so much until he found me again. He came back to me in a time of horrid stress and has since helped me become grounded. I may not be getting any better (physically) - my fog has worsened, lethargy and joint problems ruining my body. But he doesn't judge, doesn't force - only with me one day at a time. In my solitude, he cares for me, reminds me it is okay that I am tired - and I hate myself a little less for that.
I've found that water really helps with the aching. I usually stray from beaches or pools because I hate the way it feels after and I despise messing up my hair ... but being on vacation means you can't avoid it. I forgot I used to love swimming. Going in the water made me feel so light. Like the lethargy faded - like it wasn't there in the first place. Maybe I should swim again.

Ludwig was frequently one to wake throughout the night - Always had trouble sleeping, he did, even in youth. Never could stay down, his mind a consistent track - and so he'd fill that empty time with something else. Though, he'd end up continuing his day restless. Exhaust himself. Since he met his lover, his problems have lessened, yet not quite gone away...
Wings sunkissed by the beauty of aurora, warmth not as loud as before - Cicada wakes alone in the light of inbetween, his muse no longer at his side, how queer. Chitter from his ribs, he rises his upper half, fingertips grazing the edges of his corneas - the distant hum of keys just barely pulling through the wall. Of course he is. Stumbling to his feet, the Vinelands prince tread toward the door and to the hall. Cicada follows the sound - gentle melody dragging - he stop afront the studio's open door, peeking his head in. Eyes closed, claws quiet, Ludwig plays at the piano. A slow tune, not like his lively jazz symphonies or multi-man compositions - melancholic, almost. Even if his darling step silent, the musician still yet sense the presence. The Darklands prince open his eyes, lashes fluttering at his muse.
"You're awake,"
The slumber in his voice remains, poor thing.
"Have I been playing too loud?"
"No, no... You know me."
Cicada strolls ahead, fingertips finding solace beneath Ludwig's chin. He lean in and place a dainty kiss upon his husbands lips - his prince still playing, he fumbles a key. Always fumbles a key when he comes so close. He brush it aside.
"How long will you play for?"
Cicada curves around to his muse's back, arms slithering around his shoulders, now watching. Ludwig hums, teetering backward - his head to his darling's ribs.
"Only a little while."
Ludwig continues on. Somehow his song grows kinder, romantic - from bitter to sweet. Cicada did have that effect on him. After a moment of listening, Cicada's wings flit against the air, and he shifts.
"The bed isn't so warm without you, you know..."
Ludwig's chest tightens. His muse's fingers trace up his collarbone - throat - jaw. Forcing him to give attention upward, to him.
"...You won't keep me waiting too much, will you?"
Ludwig blinks. His cheeks grow warm, claws stumbling off the ivory. Stubborn he may be, but he is no madman. How could he deny him?
"... The sun... hasn't yet risen,"
Ludwig inhales - shaky, without confidence - his heart aflutter.
"I will... I... should come back, shouldn't I?"
Cicada merely smiles - damn his enticing actions, those stupid doe eyes of his. How can he refuse? To let his lover walk back alone would be ludicrous, asinine... He gives into temptation. He can continue his composition... later.

While we both have sleeping problems, he tends to handle his worse than i do... and ends up staying awake doing things instead of trying to rest again.. poor thing. He's gotten better since we've met, but sometimes it still happens... luckily, i am rather convincing ୧ :•)‹𝟹
