Stefan had given up his conversation with his younger brother, the vampire shook his head “I’m not a grandpa and you should know I would win between us any day of the week.”

“Sure not.” He gave a half smile, looking at his brother. “By chance is this a challenge?”

“I’ve been here a few months but I haven’t been out much so I’m kinda new here. Thanks and no I don’t mind at all. You can call me Hayley.”

“I’ve been here for a shorter time, but I’m the kind of person who spends less time in the Quarter and more time looking for really fun places like ice cream shops.” He laughed, then pulled himself together and continued, turning to the side of the street they would walk. “Fine then. Shall we? Oh It’s a pleasure to meet you Hayley. My name is Anthony.” He smiled and reached out to her.

“I get that a lot, what can I say… I just have that.. face.”

She halted: “Well, well, this must be history repeating. Let me guess… long lost family member?”

"Katherine, Katherine Pierce. Surely you’ve heard of me."
