Juniper and Alim invited the Grand Duchess and the Marquess over to the house not as royalty, but as their lifelong friends, Jawara and Boliagi. They told them it was time to celebrate and to wear their party clothes.
Once they arrived, they surprised them by telling them they wanted their dearest friends to bear witness to their quiet elopement.
Jawara, while happy for them, was a little concerned.
“ Do you not want your family to join you? “ She asked.
“ Of course“ Juniper replied. “ But we wanted to do this as soon as possible. They’ll be joining us in Tortosa. 
“ We shall join you there as well if you like. “ Jawara replied. “ I would very much like to meet your family. “
Juniper beamed. How lucky they were to have their dearest friends join them in both locations!
Alim was a little concerned - The Grand Duchess and the Marquess going missing for a weekend may make the Duke suspicious.
“ I can just tell him I’ve asked my fiancé to accompany me while I handle some pre-wedding business. “ Boliagi stated. “ That should be enough. “
“ so it’s settled” Juniper said. “ Now we can focus on tonight. “
Even though Gerard could see the joy on her best friend’s face, she couldn’t help but feeling a little sorry for her. This is not the way her wedding should be; she should have all the amenities, not eloping in the shadows.
She doubted she could ever forgive her father for that.
Jawara and Boliagi gave them space. She began their vows.
There wasn’t much to say - they’ve been vowing themselves to each other for years. 
All they need do is exchange rings – then it will finally be real.
