I didn’t even know you were in hospital, to be completely honest with you but trust me, I know. Um, I will get back to you that one.

It was just yet another of the mishaps at the fair that no one can remember. I don't blame you.

If you had bedsores and lived on hospital food for the last week, you wouldn't be doubting that answer. There's... no hard feelings between us right?

And did they tell you about how long you were going to stay there? It probably does suck so hopefully you’re out of there as soon as possible.    No worries; coming from you I know it’s not going to last, but how sad would it be if it was just side effects? Really sad. 

They say they'll discharge me in a week, maybe earlier all things going well. Suck? I'm bored outta my mind. Hey, that's as good as it gets here with or without drugs.

Yeah, I can tell you did even though that doesn’t help the situation.  Nope. I didn’t go there and I begin to think that was my best idea. What the hell happened at the fair?

Not in the slightest. You need to be my conscience next time. Since it definitely wasn't my brightest idea. I am with most of the Hamptons residents when I say I have no fucking clue. But I know a few people who are determined to find out.

I should be fine, after the treatment. I can't wait to be discharged though, hospital food sucks and being in a bed all day isn't all it's cracked up to be. Don't be too flattered, I am on all types of medication right now. Large amount of concern for a sibling, could just be a side effect?

I feel better. But that's probably the numbing medication working it's magic. Not that you care, right? 

I am as honest as the day is long, right now, Anthony. I know you’re mad at me for being so distant right now — but I promise I will make it up to you when things are resolved. It doesn’t concern you at present, may in the future, but not right now. So, I can’t tell you just yet. Anthony.. Please don’t be cross with me. 

And yet, part of me still doesn't believe you. More empty promises, charming, Samara. I've never seen this side of you before. I'm not cross, just disappointed.

Yeah -- don't ask me what happened because I have no fucking clue. I just woke up in the hospital with some serious burns. Well, you know dad, he's always too busy and mum, now I'm surprised she hadn't told you. I'm glad you didn't, god knows what happened to everyone. I'd of hated to see you in this position.

I wouldn’t know if she attended the fair before, but I’ve seen her around. So, if it appeases you even just a little — She’s doing a lot better than you are.

Much hasn’t changed since that half a week ago, Anthony. Yes, my answer to your question is the same but that doesn’t mean this conversation will end the same way. It isn’t that I don’t want to see you, I just think it’s best that we don’t see each other right now. Can you please just accept and not jump to conclusions like you always. It’s something personal, that I need to deal with or more figure out. I know I’m being a terrible friend right now — but once I figure it out, I’ll tell you. I promise. 

I feel like there's something you aren't telling me, Samara.. You've been so distant and I feel like you're giving me the cold shoulder right now. What do you think once you figure it out? If it involves me I think I have the right to know. Samara, if that's how you see it. Fine. Don't bother dropping by at all.
