common ancient by kanquoe
(from one distorted resection of adult childhood): "I've always told myself I'm not like them. Poor, drunk and common. By the age of 14 I had realized and acknowledged the presence of demons as a part of my daily thoughts. I noticed others had, for centuries, been trying to express them. My infatuation with the idea of someone else's tortured soul intrigued me towards looking both inside and around me for these elusive beings...possibly as muses. My best friend once scorned me for the very thing I claimed to despise...being like everyone else. Ouch. I accepted this as a truth for my life, even the distance from those close to me created at an early age...trying deviously to be different. Allowing opportunities and common ideas to become a part of the social induction I had taught myself to abhor. Practices which had also proven destructively appealing. Teenage demons and dimly lit waifs eventually brought an ancient style."
