Hey whoever is out there! Today, I thought I'd list my current Top 5 K-Pop songs that I have been listening to! So here we go:

Number 5:

Untitled, 2014 by G-Dragon

I was super excited when I heard that G-Dragon was having a comeback, especially after BigBang began their hiatus. When I heard this song, I was amazed by how different it was from G-Dragon's normal songs. Instead of being edgy and upbeat, it was gentle and beautiful. The lyrics are meaningful too and while I don't know all of what his intention was for the message of this song, it seems to be about a past love that ended badly and now he is regretful. Whether or not the song is based on a real life experience, G-Dragon really conveys a beautiful message in this song and I've repeated it at least a dozen times.

Number 4:

Wannabe by Hyoyeon and featuring San E

I actually wasn't very familiar with Hyoyeon prior to hearing this song. It was a recommended song and I checked it out to see what it was. I really like the beat and her rapping and singing skills are both really good and well-balanced in this song. Plus, San E rapping is just another bonus that makes this song better too, making this another song that I've been repeating quite a bit lately!

Number 3:

I absolutely had to add ASTRO to this list. They've been on my K-Pop radar for a while and as soon as I heard they were having a comeback, I got really excited! These guys are so talented and sweet! Not to mention, their visuals are amazing too! Not only are they all really good looking, but Baby is a really catchy and sweet song and I absolutely love the amount of color they have in the music video! I am someone who is drawn to bright colors and ASTRO's music videos always seem to have an abundance of color, leading me to rewatch their music videos often and jam to their songs.

In case anyone was wondering, Eunwoo is my bias in this group! His visuals are so good omg.

Number 2:

Critical Beauty by Pentagon

This song is one of my favorites! I love the old school vibe of this song! Pentagon has really caught my attention recently and they all have great voices. I actually discovered Pentagon as a result of listening to Hui and E'Dawn in Triple H (*Side-note, check out 365 Fresh by Triple H if you haven't already, it's another great song even though it didn't make this list). I was curious about who they were (especially E'Dawn, whose voice is super unique), so I researched and found Pentagon. Of course, as soon as I saw this comeback I was very excited and they did not disappoint! My favorite part of the song is E'Dawn's rap (I might be a little biased), but the entire song is great!

And I mean, how can you not be intrigued by this guy?!?

Number 1:

Cherry Bomb by NCT 127

(This dance move gets me every time though OMG)

It is probably partially because I love NCT and I'm a hardcore NCTzen, but this song has been replayed an excessive number of times on my iPod since its release. I feel like every single member of NCT is meant to be a visual, the music video hit me hard. I really like the unique sound that NCT has with each of their songs, and this song was no exception! They are practically their own sub-genre. The first time I heard NCT was when I heard The 7th Sense and Fire Truck. At first, I didn't really like their songs that much, but I listened to the songs more than once and I suddenly really liked the vibes their music has. Now I am definitely on the NCT bandwagon and get excited every time they have a comeback, especially for this one. While there is a bit of an issue sometimes with line distribution (as if that doesn't happen with every group), this song is really powerful and there are a variety of different elements at play here that make this song really memorable!

And again, if anyone is curious, my bias is Mark! (Even though nearly every member of NCT is one of my bias-wreckers...*cough cough* Taeyong *cough cough* Johnny *cough cough* Jaehyun and Yuta and literally everyone)

Noh Taehyun was one of my favorite Produce 101 trainees since the beginning of the show. I was already aware of his talent through his rookie boyband HOTSHOT, but he impressed me even more with his dance moves during their first evaluation. He and Ha Sungwoon are an awesome pair, and while I am happy that Ha Sungwoon made it into the Top 11, I was disappointed that Noh Taehyun was eliminated so soon. I am super excited to hear that HOTSHOT is making a comeback, though I am going to miss Sungwoon while he is promoting with Wanna One instead. I just hope that Noh Taehyun becomes a much more appreciated member of HOTSHOT now that he as on the show and I hope that their next comeback will be a huge success!

Yoon Jisung is literally me in gym class. 

I am really excited for NU'EST's comeback! I'm a little sad that Minhyun won't be part of it, since he is with Wanna One right now, but I am so ready!! It's so hard to decide how I feel about the whole situation. I wanted the NU'EST members to win Produce 101 and I am happy for Minhyun, but at the same time I am also sad that they got separated and are now coming back without him, BUT I am also excited for their comeback and for Wanna One's debut (so many emotions!). I plan on looking at this situation in a positive light, since all of NU'EST are so talented and deserving. Their past comebacks have been amazing (although extremely underrated), so I am super pumped for this one and I hope that they have grown a larger fan base from appearing on Produce 101! While I haven't been a hardcore follower of NU'EST since the beginning, I actually discovered them a few months before their Produce 101 appearance. I fell in love with them even more during the course of the show (minus Aron of course, who I am excited to see again since it's been a while). They don't really get much recognition, but their music is amazing. My favorite songs by them are 'Sleep Talking', 'Face', and 'Action', but their other songs are awesome as well. They have such a powerful vocal and rap line and their visuals are strong too. I wish NU'EST and Wanna One the best and a ton of success. I hope that Minhyun can reunite with them after Wanna One disbands and they can rise up in the K-Pop industry!
