Ana had been growing frustrated with her contact’s hemming and hawing and decided to get a drink that night once their latest discussions were over.  The man wanted far too much money for something that was only truly valuable to two groups, and maybe the odd collector, and a part of her was itching to just steal the stash of Old Jedi artifacts out from under him.  But she could practically hear her parents’ disapproval in her head so she put that option aside, for now.

As she walked into the building she let her eyes absently roam the interior, taking almost unconscious note of everyone inside and their positions.  Only to pause and backtrack as she processed something familiar.  A smirk started to cross her face and she swiftly made her way to the bar to order a pair of drinks before sauntering over to the corner table with a good view of all exits and the room in general.

“Ja’Reli’Nuruodo, fancy running into you all the way out here.”  She drawled, dropping into a seat on the opposite side of the table and sliding the spare drink across the surface to the Chiss woman sitting there.  Ana was wearing a full size shit-eating Solo grin at this point, hazel eyes bright even in the bar’s dimly lit interior.

The past more or less decade of Ja’reli’s life had been spent back and forth between the Chiss Ascendancy and the new Galactic Empire, now under the rule of the Fels. Officially she had resigned her post at Chiss intelligence to serve under the new Emperor and his wife, though they hadn’t carried the titles at the time. She’d made friends with the Skywalkers and by extension the Solos, and there had been need of a security force for the retiring Head of State Fel that she was was happy to take up.

She’d spent most of her time with the pair, looking out for their blossoming family and then assuring their safety in the empire, but as the young ones had grown older and the Imperial Knights had begun to establish themselves and Ja’reli had been somewhat less necessary. She took the occasional job for the Ascendancy when it was helpful for both entities and her intelligence skills were necessary, as she was doing now.
