Hey simmers❤ I wanted to re-post this tutorial/game fix that  theothersim posted once long ago. The original post was deleted and I’m not sure if this tutorial has been posted elsewhere. So, I’ll post it here. All credit of the original tutorial and the pic goes to DH4S

Oh and if it wasn’t clear, this fix will stop the lighting causing objects to get that weird glow.

Credit will also go to balljointedsim who wrote a quick explanation how to do this (after the original tut disappeared) which I will quote now:

Open GraphicRules.sgr (be sure to make a backup of the original)

In the notepad Look for the line “advancedrendering”

You will see two sections, one is “Setting $ On” and “Setting $ Off”

In “Setting $ Off” you will find the line “$ prop ConfigGroup RenderPostProcessEnabled false”

Copy that line into the “Setting $ On” section (the blog posted it after the line that says TerrainLOD0)

You will end up with the section looking like this:

After that, save your SGR but please do not forget to have made a backup.

 And if this is already uploaded by the original maker somewhere else and thus is an irrelevant post by me, then I appreciate if someone can let me know.

I know I’ve been M.I.A, however life has consumed all of my time.

Here is a picture reckless-sims and I took of Ryan, Elli, Ben and Alana in late 2009 (yes Hometown Glory was written back then). This series means a lot to us, it has brought my niece (reckless-sims) and I much closer and it allowed us to explore our creative outlets in the sims.

Bottom line I wanted to show you guys this because I’ve gotten a lot of messages asking if Hometown Glory is gone for good. HG isn’t finished my loves, it may take us a while to put out another video but Hometown Glory means too much to us to just flat out cancel the series.

But bare with us, do know that when we do post another video there will be no announcement. We will just post it. Trust me it’ll be worth the wait.
