Can i have a second date with yoongi.?
You quickly reapplied a coat of pink matte lipstick, a shade that complimented the color of your manicured nails.
“Do I look OK?” You asked your roommate.
“You look more than OK.” She replied, softly brushing the curls onto your hair. “Why are you worried anyway?”
“I don’t know. What if he doesn’t like me- what if-”
“Hey if he asked for a second date, it shows he’s interested right?” She chuckled.
“Yeah of course.” You nervously laughed, tying the laces on your sneakers.
You stood up straight and gave yourself a thumbs up in the mirror, before grabbing your purse.
“I think it’s him. I think it’s him.” You freaked, putting on your sweater.
Your roommate made her way to the door, and checked the peephole. Nodding at your assumption she turned around, hand on the doorknob.
“Its him, you ready?” She whispered.
You straightened your posture, and tucked a strand hair behind your ear.
“More than ever.” You said confidently.
She then slowly opened the front door, as your heart beated at a fast rate. Yoongi had his back turned to you, while he faced the wall talking to himself.
“Hi, how are you? This is great isn’t it?” He muttered to himself.
“Yes it is.” You giggled.
He jumped and turned around to face you nervously laughing, while his hand clutched his chest. The other hand clutched a bouquet of blue tulips
“You scared me.” He chuckled nervously
“Oh? Sorry.” You blushed.
“Uhm…. This is for you. I got them on the way here. They reminded me of you.” He spoke, eyeing you up and down. “Because they’re really pretty.”
“Ah. Thank you. Thats so nice of you.” You cooed, gently taking them from him. “ I’ll give them to my roommate so she can put them in a vase.”
Your roommate took the tulips as you stepped out, closing the door behind you.
“Alright let’s go.” You said making your way to the elevator.
The short elevator ride consisted of compliments and awkward silences, but the atmosphere was relaxing. As you both stepped out the elevator and the building, you could feel his fingers brush against yours. Whenever he did that you involuntarily blushed, but that what he was aiming for. To see you cutely blush and hide your smile, made him smile. He loved seeing you in that sort of state.
“Where are we going.” You asked brushing hair off your face, as the wind blew.
“I thought maybe we should go to the record store?” He asked. “Because the vinyl’s there are awesome. Maybe we can recommend each other a few songs? Then maybe we can get some pizza or catch a movie.” He smiled.
“Yeah, that’s a great idea.” You nodded, smiling uncontrollably.
You couldn’t help but to to stare at his beautiful face. The way his gummy smile formed on his face, and his eyes squinted. The way his hair looked in his blue beanie. The way he bit his lip unconsciously. The way he cocked his head a bit to the side and stared back at you. The way his hair looked, so healthy and shiny. The pink tint of his lips, and the more pinker it got when he bit it. You never imagined anyone so perfect. He was perfect. You were falling head over heels for him
Little did you know, he felt the same way too.
You two walked closely side to side down the busy Gangnam streets, talking about little details that happened throughout each others day. When you were being pushed back by him because of large crowds, he was there to hold your hand and bring you back beside him. This seemed to become such a pattern, that he decided to just keep holding your hand and not let it go. Despite the chilly air, his hands kept yours warm. He occasionally rubbed his thumb on the top of your hand, putting both of your hands in his pocket. He seemed so chill about it, while your face was getting heated from embarrassment.
As you arrived at the record store, he held the door open for you. The store smelled of scented candles, and was brightly lit. Yoongi let go of your hand, as he took off his leather jacket. You unzipped your sweater and started walking towards down the stairs, towards the bins full of vinyl’s.
“Hello, welcome to Dan’s Vinyl’s. ” a tall girl greeted.
You and Yoongi turned around and greeted her back.
“Ah~ hello Yoongi!” She grinned.
“I just wanted you guys to know that we have little sale. We have %20 off of retro vinyl’s. We just got new record players so check them out. Annnnnnd that’s about it. Talk to me if you need any help.” She smiled.
She winked at Yoongi before walking back to the cashiers counter.
“You come here a lot or?” You asked, wrapping your sweater around your waist.
“Occasionally. When I’m away from the boys, and I need inspiration. I usually come here with Namjoon and sometimes Hoseok.” He replied, scanning the “Rap” section.
“This place is well organized.” You said.
“It is isn’t it? Makes things easier to find.” He nodded.
You walked over to the “R&B section, spotting an artist you liked.
As you two looked at the vinyl’s, he made corny jokes here and there. Most of them weren’t even funny, but just for his sake you laughed.
As you grabbed a Katy Perry vinyl, you heard a sharp whistle. You looked around and stopped to look at Yoongi, who was putting a vinyl on a record player.
"Come over here.” He whispered yelled, trying not to bother other customers.
Plugged into the record player were two headphones, which he asked you to put on. As soon as they were over your ears, you could hear the smooth vibrations of Lauryn Hill’s “Doo wop (That Thing)”. Your eyes instantly grew big, recognizing the song.
“I love this song.” You mouthed.
He moved closer to you and mouthed “Me too.” He coolly laid an arm on your shoulder, humming to the song.
You had bought six records. Three of you favor artists and three of Yoongi’s favorite. Because Yoongi knew the cashier there, you didn’t need to buy the vinyl’s. It was on “the house”, but Yoongi had paid for all the vinyl’s anyway. You had bought yourself a record player, so you could listen to the vinyl’s. On the way to the pizzeria, Yoongi voluntarily carried it for you.
“I think that’s my favorite place in the world.” He muttered happily.
“Yeah. I could stay there for the rest of my life. What’s your favorite place?” He asked.
“Take me there some time?” He smirked.
“Yah~ ” you giggled playfully punching his arm.
He opened the restaurant doors for you, the smell of garlic bread in the air. You closed your eyes and took a big sniff out of the air, smiling to yourself.
“This place makes one of the best breadsticks and pizza.” He sighed, happily.
You both walked towards a booth near a window, giving a view of the busy streets. You took the seat beside the window, while he sat beside you.
When the waiter came you both ordered your food off the menu. Scanning the menu was such a hard decision, since everything sounded delicious.
“You should order the surprise.” He whispered into your ear.
You flipped through the menu and tried to find the “surprise”. But it was nowhere to be found.
“There is no ‘surprise’.” You responded.
He chuckled to himself and looked up at the waiter. You observed them as they did weird weird little gestures to each other.
“The surprise please.” He said, winking his right eye.
“Right.” The waiter said nodding his head slowly, while scribbling the order on his notebook. “Anything to drink?’
"I would like some water for the moment.” You responded.
“Alright.” The waiter said winking once again at Yoongi, before leaving.
“What was that?” You asked.
“Oh nothing. He does that with everyone.” He shrugged.
A few minutes later, the waiter had come back with the drinks, and a basket of bread sticks. While waiting for the 'surprise’, Yoongi was rather quiet. He didn’t speak as much as he did, earlier. He only listened to you when you talked, and gave small responses. You wondering if did something wrong. He didn’t make any direct eye contact with you.
Was your hair a mess? Was he not enjoying himself like you were? Was it your shirt? Is he second guessing things?
You weren’t sure, and you were growing worried.
“Hey Yoongi….Are you having fun?” You asked nervously.
“Yeah of course.” He chuckled, still not looking into your eyes.
You both sat in silence sipping on your drinks, until the waiter came back. The waiter held a large silver platter, with a lid on it. He set it down on the table, patted Yoongi’s shoulder before leaving.
You heard Yoongi take a deep breath before looking at you. In the eyes this time.
“Yeah. This 'surprise’ smells great.” You grinned.
“Well.. Open it.” He said sternly.
You grinned at him and took off the lid. But what you saw, was unexpected. You froze with the lid still in your hand, trying to process what you were seeing. The little pieces of meat on the the pizza formed a short sentence.
You slowly set the pizza on the table, and looked at Yoongi.
“Cheesy isn’t it.” He laughed. You covered your mouth trying to suppress laughter, after hearing his pun.
“Maybe its too soon? But I’ve decided….That I really like you. And I want to see you more. Because the first time I saw you, I felt like I was looking at an angel. And as corny as it sounds, I think it’s true….” He blushed.
He smirked and looked at his hands, trying to hide his embarrassment. A smile grew on your face, from the adorable confession. It was cute seeing Yoongi’s pale face, turn a shade of bright pink.
“That’s only.. If you feel the same way. And if you don’t-”
“I feel the same way.” You quickly responded, cutting him off.
His head shot up to look at you, a surprised expression on his face. You could tell that he was breathly, from the the way his chest moved up and down. He then furrowed his eyebrows and a cocky smile appeared on his face. He leaned back onto his seat and threw an arm over your shoulder.
“I told the boys you wouldn’t be able to resist me.” He said cockily.
“Yah!” You pouted, hitting his chest playfully.
“I’m just happy you’re mine.” He muttered to himself, but loud enough for you to hear.
