A âJenningsâ or âWhiteheadâ gag, as shown here, is a medical device often used in oral or dental surgery to keep the mouth open. I myself have had them placed on me by my dentist.
In the playroom, I like to think of them as anti-gags, because unlike most gags, nothing but air is stuffed down the throat.
They should be ratcheted carefullyâŚtoo much and you can cause serious injury. Your mouth can only open so wide and this gag should keep it open almost that wide but no further. Be conservative on your first try. This gag has a way of very quickly becoming extreme and too much to take. The sweet spot will have just enough leeway left to still flex the jaw a little but not quite enough to be able to force it out.
Even if the gag is padded you should use a mouth guard. You can pick them up at the sporting goods storeâŚthe kind wrestlers or football players wear. Get the thin ones, not the âdoubleâ kind, just the ones that separately cover the upper and lower teeth. It will provide a nice secure padding, increases the amount of time you can spend gagged and prevents a real trip to the dentist.Â

There is plenty of slobber too, which makes this the absolutely perfect gag for puppy scenes. Heâll be forced to slobber, whine, howl and pant like a dog.
