TRIGGER WARNING SHâŒïžâŒïž

Iâm aware Iâm not aloud to post such crude art on my account, and I constantly withhold from inappropriate topics, and in no way am I romanticizing or making light of SH to be clear.
And yet I had such an enjoyable time drawing this- with so much fun erratic messy line art, driplets and stray feathers. And I do enjoy diving deeper into Shirochitoâs struggles though Iâm not aloud to mention them outwardly here.
I don wanna talk about my previous years- this s like an embarrassment ritual 4 me, Iâll redeem myself this time I swearđ«©

Shirochito character flaw analysis
At first glance, Shirochito appears remarkably simple to understand. He is quiet, aloof, difficult to read, and often emotionally detached from the people around him. He takes pride in his appearance, values how others perceive him, and seems more comfortable being viewed as intimidating or mysterious than approachable. To strangers, he projects the image of someone entirely in control of himself. However, the various excerpts paint a far more complicated picture. While Shiro is undoubtedly vain, prideful, and emotionally reserved by nature, those same excerpts also reveal someone whose need for validation, affection, and permanence frequently dictates the way he treats the people around him. Rather than existing as separate parts of his personality, these qualities constantly intersect, shaping both his strengths and his greatest flaws.
One of the first things that stands out across the excerpts is how much effort Shiro puts into controlling the way he is perceived. His appearance, demeanor, and reputation all seem deeply important to him. While part of it is simply vanity, stopping there would be an oversimplification. Shiro is egotistical, and he enjoys being admired, but admiration alone is not enough. He does not merely want people to think he looks good⊠he wants people to see him in a particular way. He would rather be viewed as intimidating than friendly, mysterious than vulnerable, impressive than approachable. This preference is significant because it reveals what he values just as much as what he avoids. Friendship requires emotional openness, while intimidation creates distance. Mystery invites admiration without demanding vulnerability. By presenting himself as calm, unreadable, and self contained, Shiro controls how much of himself other people are allowed to see. Whether this disposition came naturally or was reinforced by his past is almost beside the point; by the time the excerpts take place, it has become an inseparable part of who he is.
Although he often appears detached (and he is), the excerpts repeatedly show that Shiro reacts strongly to the possibility of abandonment. In FC(1), he is described as someone who would rather burn others before they burn him, a mentality that reflects anticipation of rejection rather than confidence. Rather than trusting that relationships will remain stable, he prepares for their collapse. This tendency explains why he may distance himself, become defensive, or even create conflict before someone else has the opportunity to hurt him. None of this excuses the damage he causes, but it does help explain why so many of his relationships revolve around control. If he can predict rejection, prepare for it, or even provoke it himself, then he never has to experience it unexpectedly. It is an unhealthy way of navigating relationships, yet it appears repeatedly throughout the excerpts.
This fear becomes even more apparent whenever Panchito is involved. Despite presenting himself as independent and emotionally restrained, Shiroâs composure noticeably falters whenever the stability of their relationship is threatened. Rather than responding with acceptance or mature communication, he often defaults to anxiety, possessiveness, or attempts to regain control of the situation. Time and time again, the excerpts portray someone who wants permanence but struggles to believe it will actually last. Even when Panchito reassures him, Shiro often behaves as though that reassurance could disappear without warning. His attachment is therefore not simply affectionate but is deeply dependent. Much of his behavior suggests that he needs Panchitoâs presence to feel emotionally secure, and that dependence frequently influences his judgment.
Another recurring pattern throughout the excerpts is Shiroâs selfishness. He is of course capable of loving other people, but his own emotions almost always take priority over theirs. When conflict occurs, he instinctively views it through the lens of his own experience before considering anyone elseâs. If Panchito is hurt, Shiroâs immediate concern often becomes what that hurt means for himself, whether Panchito will become distant, whether he will lose affection, or whether the relationship itself has been damaged. That does not mean his feelings are insincere, but it does make them undeniably self centered. He frequently becomes more concerned with the consequences of his actions than with the actions themselves. As a result, his apologies can sound genuine while simultaneously feeling unsatisfying because they revolve around his own discomfort rather than the pain he caused. The excerpts rarely portray this selfishness as intentional cruelty. Instead, it seems so ingrained that Shiro often doesnât even realize heâs doing it.
This same pattern extends into his ability to empathize with others. Throughout the excerpts, Shiro repeatedly struggles to understand emotional expectations that seem obvious to the people around him. He often requires direct explanations regarding boundaries, intentions, or personal conflict because he struggles to recognize those things on his own. Whether this stems from his autism, his upbringing, his past, or simply his personality is difficult to untangle, and the excerpts never suggest there is a single explanation. Regardless of the cause, the outcome remains consistent. Shiro frequently misunderstands emotional situations, responds defensively when confronted, and only recognizes the impact of his actions after someone explicitly explains them to him. His communication difficulties therefore do not replace his flaws -they complicate them. Good intentions do not prevent harm, and throughout the excerpts, Shiro repeatedly hurts the people closest to him despite genuinely caring about them.
Ultimately, Shiro is neither an irredeemable person nor someone whose flaws can simply be explained away. He is vain, egotistical, emotionally dependent, possessive, and often selfish. He is also capable of loyalty, genuine affection, and a sincere desire to improve, even if he frequently struggles to understand how. The excerpts donât ask the reader to pity him, nor do they portray him as malicious for the sake of being malicious. Instead, they present someone whose strengths and flaws are so closely intertwined that separating one from the other becomes nearly impossible. That complexity is what makes Shiro compelling. Heâs frustrating, difficult, and he is often his own worst enemy in which Iâm sure heâs aware of.

S Scrapped doodle for a comic, I liked it too much to just completely not post ;-;
I think Iâve only ever seen one piece of Pancho x Della art ever. Theyâre both eccentric and âquirkyâ, and the added humor of being one of his best friendâs sister I think their dynamic would be fun hehe!
