You may be seen as a normal person, but your best friend is a superhero and your fiancé is a supervillain. Neither knows the other’s identity nor the fact that the MacGuffin they are fighting over has been under your bed the whole time.

The demon lord has conquered the land, and five heroes have been summoned to depose him. The heroes journey towards the demon lord–to discover that he’s built a thriving economy, public healthcare, and the land is more prosperous than it has ever been.

You’re the final boss in a video game, and you’ve just returned from destroying the hero’s town, starting them on their journey. You retreat to your lair to plan, when one of your minions bursts in, telling you about the bizarre exploits of the hero. “Oh no,” you think. “He’s a speedrunner.”

In a world full of NPC’s, a select few gain self awareness, becoming PC’s, and each of them have a growing sense of danger. They must find each other and band together to save them. The only catch is, once they save the world, they go back to becoming NPC’s.
