This sculpture is called Maman. It’s french for “Mom”. The artists name is Louise Bourgeois. In her words, “The Spider is an ode to my mother. She was my best friend. Like a spider, my mother was a weaver. My family was in the business of tapestry restoration, and my mother was in charge of the workshop. Like spiders, my mother was very clever. Spiders are friendly presences that eat mosquitoes. We know that mosquitoes spread diseases and are therefore unwanted. So, spiders are helpful and protective, just like my mother.”

dudes in their 20s who try to talk to high school girls are losers
girls please think about why these guys cant get girls their own age please. its not because they’re sweet or misunderstood, its because they’re damn loser scumbag babies who cant attract anyone who knows better.
Say it again for the people in the back
Dudes in their 20s go for high school girls because it sets up a power imbalance, AND THEY KNOW IT. They 100% know it. There is a fucking reason adult women won’t go near them. Protect highschool girls.

“For me, it's not necessarily interesting to play a strong, fearless woman. It's interesting to play a woman who is terrified and then overcomes that fear. It's about the journey. Courage is not the absence of fear, it's overcoming it.”
The Queen Meme → Boudica, Queen the Iceni tribe (d. 60 or 61 AD)
Boudica was the Queen of the Iceni tribe, a Celtic tribe which ruled over modern day Norfolk, and was married to Prasutagus, the ruler of the Iceni. Prasutagus ruled as an independent ally of Rome, who at the time had invaded and were occupying England. When Prasutagus died, he dictated in his will that his Kingdom was to be left jointly to his daughters, and Rome. However Rome ignored his will, as Roman law dictated that only males could inherit and thus Pasatagus’ Kingdom was conquered. Boudica was flogged, her daughters were raped, and Roman financiers called in their loans. So Boudica planned an uprising, and lead the Iceni and Trinovantes in revolt - destroying Camulodunum, a roman soldiers settlement. Boudica led 100,000 rebels, and in the three battles, an estimated 70-80,000 of Roman and rebel forces were killed. The uprising led to Emperor Nero considering withdrawing all Roman forces from England. When the Battle of Watling Street took place, the final battle in the uprising, Boudica stated that she was fighting not as an aristocrat or Queen but as a woman “avenging her lost freedom, her battered body, and the abused chastity of her daughters.” In the final battle, Boudica was defeated by Rome and in a last sign of rebellion, killed herself to prevent capture (although that is debated).Â
