I can’t muster up the nerve to be angry at you despite how painful that encounter was. I could give you a list of reasons to justify the way I reacted, but none of it seems to matter. I really did care. I wish you knew that. I just pray that, at the very least, you’ll find peace with this situation because nobody deserves to have to go through this. 

I’m working on it.

Everything is going to fall apart because of you.

All I’ve been doing for the past two hours was watch the endless blinking of a single text cursor on an empty word document as my mind runs rapidly, trying to pinpoint the events that have influenced my decision to pursue this goal. But I am clearly getting nowhere.

Years have passed and I’m going to try again. This time, with a better goal in mind and actual progress to prove that.

I have never had an opportunity directly handed to me like that before. I’m reluctant to turn away from it, but I know it’s the right thing to do. I would be walking into it for all the wrong reasons if I had said yes.
