Okay so. I was playing JCC. And as a normal person I of course took out a paper and started writing things down

Here's my madness board

As you can see I did some interesting discoveries and I have Theories (don't worry if you can't read my handwriting I elaborate on everything here)

For starters, the most important things in here are the morgue papers. That was the moment where I started to write things down bc I KNEW that they were a huge checkov's gun. And what do you know. They *have* proven to be insanely useful in gathering info about the characters and knowing who's hiding something (I mean they all are. We don't know what any of them got arrested for. And I have some light suspicions that Eddie might've lied/altered some info in his 'confession' of his crime to Benny. But this isn't about that this is about who's hiding the biggest shit in terms of in-show actions)

First of all, it actually ended up being extremely simple finding out what their participant codes are! It doesn't take a genius to know that the number means in what roulette game you were, and the A or B means which of the two you are. Maneki is 1A, considering the damage to thyroid thing and. Them being mute. So that means that their opponent fucking died (and that they DEFINITELY have more chips than Sailor and the gang think they do). So. Sussy behavior

And then it turns out that the position of the boxes they came out of in the main stage already tells you who's their pair. It actually took me watching a replay to notice this. (That's why I noted the pairs on the middle left. I hadn't noticed the stage thing then)

But anyways! This means that the three people who properly won against their opponent are Vega, Elise, and Maneki

(side note but it's insanely funny to me that all three of them use they/them pronouns. Studio Investigative said nonbinary people start killing NOW. and honestly based)

I also noted their objects but so far we only know Eddie's, Rook's, Sailor's, and Bones'. So. Ample room for surprises here.

BUT THAT'S NOT THE JUICIEST SHIT!!!

Obviously, the most important body in the morgue is 8A, who was killed with producer interference (yes that's what it says on the redacted bit of the file u can actually faintly see it). And if we go with the stage presentations, who was 8A's partner?

Fucking. Elise.

In their route, they mention having been to luxury prisons many times before, so they've been doing plenty of Crime for a WHILE. Also, isn't it strange how Vick chooses to have them on his team? Bones makes sense, being a pro lockpicker and sneaker skeleton, and he mentioned wanting Eddie to have some muscle, but what does Elise even do?? We don't see them do anything actually valuable. No sort of skills or silver tongue.

I think Vick chose to have them for their connections/power.

They're clearly favored by the producers (NOT King. I don't think he's fully aware of how important they are) considering how they interfered to make sure they won and also got a shitton of chips (fucking 36?? Hello????)

So like. Yeagh. They got WAY more power and influence than everyone else knows

Oh also I checked racheldrawsthis's Tumblr to reblog stuff about this game because I am Normal and I found out about this character named G.C.?? I think that was the name? It was two letters. And I saw a drawing of her and there was the thing of someone infiltrating the facility and knocking the shop cashier out and taking their clothes and like. Yeah it's the bartender in the Vega route. Why else would it get any sprites for Literally One Scene That You Can Easily Miss. Also Cobyn knew a shitton more about drinks than the bartender so. Yeah.

And now the small stuff!

I think Cobyn is a good liar

In Vick's route, while Bones is looting the shop, Vick and their team talk about the bar, and then Cobyn goes "I don't know why we have to keep it a secret, we're just going there to get drinks" in a completely natural and in-character way. Then Vega goes "...Right. Drinks. That's what we're doing"

So he's really good at disguising nervousness and coming up with believable lies on the fly. Definitely something to look out for

Eddie has a black eye

You can see it on his sprites, on the ones he uses when screaming at Benny for being a prick. I don't really have much else to comment about this one :P

Bones n Benny r exes

This one's more of a funny what-if than anything. Before you get to the shop with Bones to steal the medkit he says smth about Benny in a way that made me go "what if they were exes that would be funny" so of course I had to write it down. Maybe they're not actually exes but it does seem like they knew eachother from before

Missing medical condition

When Eddie is reading the files for the contestant's medical conditions, at some point he goes "..." and then says that there's nothing else of note. I think he either found his own file saying something about him or one of the contestants has the same condition as someone he knew. He most likely ommitted information to Poppy on purpose

Poppy has depression

I haven't actually noted down this one bc I only came up with it while I was having dinner after playing but. Yeagh. Poppy does mention wanting to sleep in between rounds because there's nothing else to do, and she talks about "the winner" as if she has fully crossed out the possibility of her winning

Also, in the intro to the games we're shown 3 images of 3 roulette games: Bones and Vick, Rook and Cecilia, and Benny and Eddie. We don't see Poppy and Cobyn. We don't know how their teamwork happened

I don't have any actual proof or evidence on this one, but I think that Poppy lost all her chips (most likely in an all-or-nothing bet), fully expecting to die right then and there, but then Cobyn realised the loophole in the rules and purposefully got himself to 0 as well so they could both make it out. I think he saved her life on purpose

I mean, there definitely has to be a good reason for her to never actually pick on him at all in all the time they spend together, even though she also ends up being on decent terms with Eddie and she still picks on him anyway

...aaaaand I think that's all I have to say!
