Watching them makes my heart ache because I truly don't think I'll ever experience that with another human, and it makes me sad.

i get it. i haven’t really noticed that, but i might not have been paying attention.

i wouldn’t worry too much about them being inauthentic while playing the game, as they’d make fun of the relatable games all the time with incoherent “ruining the channel” as well as dragon city every once in a while

i feel like all of their videos, separate or together, have just naturally gotten better over time so i definitely understand that

i will say i do love dans solo videos from right before the hiatus like 2017-2018 time (i.e. daniel and depression; trying to live my truth)

i’ll also say i’m a dannie at heart, i love when he goes on tangents about his feelings/opinions/morals. WAD, WIQYT, YWGTTN and dystopia daily all have a very special place in my heart. i understand why people wouldn’t like them, but i’d recommend rewatching daniel and depression and trying to live my truth, they’re both fantastic

also, this may be a hot take, but one of my top dystopia daily videos is we are in a relationship, i genuinely think it does a really good job encapsulating who dan is and his relationship with us 10/10 everyone needs to watch it

if you are ever in the mood to giving his older stuff another shot tho, some ones i recommend are his videos with louise and tyler oakley, the one where he visits his old website he made as a teenager, and the one where he does quizzes about himself

ya i agree, honestly the way the phandom talks about both of them kinda isn’t great sometimes

and yeah i was noticing that with phil; he doesn’t need to be treated as if he’s just a little guy when he’s over 6 feet and 38 years old

the first one is a one shot (it’s two chapters but that’s just cause someone commented wanting a phil pov as well so it’s not really two chapters) about dan and phil going to a coffee shop and dan seeing one of his bullies from school and he’s pissed off that he can’t just get over it

the next one i’m still in the middle of writing, but it’s a lawyer au where dan won a case that he really shouldn’t have won five years ago and he’s still suffering from it. then, phil ends up needing a lawyer, and dan has to force himself to come to terms with his past in order to make sure everything works out (that’s a really bad description)

it’s definitely a slow burn, VERY angsty, and very dan-centric, but will have a happy ending cause i can’t handle it when it doesn’t

also tw cause there may be some parts/themes that aren’t very nice
