To be quite honest with you all I do think that aro/ace-spectrum fans in fandoms where people are desperately inventing crossover ships and humanizing non-human characters in order to have a conventionally attractive guy to ship the main character with, instead of possibly having to enjoy a story with no romance in it, have the right to refer to everyone else as cowards.

they should make miis have allergies so if you gave them like a peanut or something they'd have an allergic reaction and it'd be all your fault

similarly to how you should never trust gamers with a nonbinary character i feel like you can also never trust a fandom with an aroace character. whether it's explicitly canon or implied it just ends up the same

every time an allo person wants to ship an aroace spec coded character they should write an essay with MLA format citations on how this serves the themes of the story and is necessary for the character and how their ship is any different than the relationships said character already has and they should also send $500 dollars minimum to at least one aroace person in their fandom

Axe end is hilarious with the reveal of baby akane is the narrator because she’s describing a woman who’s killing people with an axe as a beautiful Angel and on replays you just kind of sit there with the knoldge that you’re listening to a 12 year old girl have a bisexual awakening because a girl is about to kill her crush with an axe.

teenagers aren’t the vanguards of the pro-censorship movement. the closest thing that happens to this is that bad actors who are adults exploit teenagers’ age-appropriate discomfort with violent and sexual art to incite internet stochastic terrorism campaigns. but even this happens far less often than adults just silencing children and pretending to be speaking for them by proxy.

i hate the misuse of the term “puritanism” in this context but the idea of teens (“puriteens”) being the principle driving demographic behind this cultural trend is genuinely pretty fucking insulting, considering adults who use kids and teens as a cudgel (“think of the children!”) are actually the people driving movements toward censorship.
