Reflection
Last week we were working on our Project report, we didn’t have time to meet up and discuss so we just worked in it on our own. There are a lot of things that we need to fix. We need to shorten our text and make it more clear. We also need to talk more about the project and results instead of what we did.
Reflection
This week I have been busy so I have not been able to do what I’ve planned, I did manage to redraw the decals for our game though to make it look more painty and have more variety. From our last play testing at the Auckland Games Development Meetup, we had some suggestions that we should have more variety of paints, because it looks to repetitive and boring.
Plan:
I plan on fixing the bugs on our prototype and get some play testing done.

Reflection
I believe we have made good progress this week. It is now playable and we can start some play testing. It still requires a lot of work. From our play testing we’ve found out that the decal does not wrap, so at times it just appears to be on a invisible wall. This make it harder to decipher what the environment is like which will be a problem. Also, we found out that both players spawn at the same spot, and shoot at the same time. We have a lot to work on, but I am amazed and happy that Garet got multiplayer working.
We happy with the footage I got from this play testing. It might come in handy for the Making of Video.
Plans:
My plans for this week is to finish working on the painting mechanic. This week Garet and I are planning on merging what we have been working on together to start play testing.
Reflection
I am thankful for the little talk with my tutor this week. Last week I worked on fixing the bugs on a Unity Project that Garet found online, it’s similar to the unfinished swan so I figured that when I fix all the bugs on it, I can use it to make our prototype. I wasted quite a lot of energy and time on this, but I was lost at that time, due to my lack of coding and unity knowledge.
When my tutor found out what I have been doing, he suggested that I should start from scratch. Then he found out that I didn’t have much knowledge on Unity, and gave me some good help and advice.
Plan:
My plan for this week is to continue working on making a prototype. I am struggling on this, but hopefully I can find some help on Slack, online or friends.
Refection
I was pretty happy with what I have made this week. I made something that I was not expecting and found it to be fun. I did not believe it had anything to do with my project, so I never planned to show it. However when I showed my tutor this little mini game I made, he got a bit upset and asked me why he has never seen it until now. Even though it doesn’t follow the path that I planned, the mini game I made shows my progress and experiment.

Plans
This week I planned to work on finishing my report, and if I have time, I wish to continue the plans I made last week. Which was creating a health system and hit indicator.
The decals I previously made for the game was just a dummy. I have decided to redraw these paint decals and make more varieties due to what some play testers have said. Now I need to code so that the raycast will shoot out these different decals.
