Thank you all for being patient with me, this past month has actually been difficult and rather stressful, lol. You may have noticed after the fourth drawing I started getting experimental with a low poly esque style, and I'm probably going to stick with it for a little longer since I actually quite like it. :)
Despite being a fan of the game for 10+ years as it is, I wanted to try and do my own, personal lore-expanded take on Flumpty and co. with a new stylization I've been trying out.
It feels fitting Flumpty would actually be one of the Outer Gods anyway.
… I then tried to share him on Art Fight, and the site crashed in my browser when I attempted to submit him... I uh, guess I won't be doing that this year. I took it as a sign that he's probably cursed and his power is extending to websites.
Paper Mario Star Nova was a hack… I certainly played this year.
I normally dont like doing "improved redesigns" but in the case of this romhack, the partners were pretty ugly, and I felt the potential for a Shaman joining you was fumbled.

What do I even call this character pairing name… The Japanese title is easy enough, キノヒーボ (KinoHibo) or something- I guess I can just resort to emoji combo🍄🔥
Anyway their dynamic to me is "small yappy dog and old warrior", but both are loyal to respective leaders which is common ground for mutuality
I had wanted to draw them for a while actually :'D the new Mario Galaxy movie bringing attention to SMB2 again has brought me the chance to do so!
I did NOT expect a total OperaRose victory, but hey! I'm happy it happened! Rosie is one of my favs so I was more than happy to draw her.

I've said it a few times before but when talk of Rosie comes up, eventually the stuff from the pitch bible gets brought into discussion where Sir Pentious had a crush on her…
But honestly, with the way so much stuff from the old pitch bible has been slightly/softly recycled for the full series, they could reuse but with OperaRose? And I think it might actually work better, since Pentious has long evolved from being a joke character but we don't know a lot about Maestro and this is a good way to fully introduce him.
That and a subplot of Alastor getting in his way for shits and giggles would just be hilarious.

This is just going to be a collection of daily short stories that will last until next week, a little challenge. Mild content warning for canon typical suggestive humor and violence, but nothing too extreme!
Strictly sticking w/ ClassicalJoy for this bc it's my main non-canon ship atp that I talk about-
Yes, it would be nice if it was canon. I don't think it would add much to the story, but I think thematically, it would work and fit the themes of Heaven, Hell, redemption, etc.
Whether or not it would be "well handled" depends on how many episodes are given. I trust the writing staff well enough, but unless A24 gave more episodes and time to cook with, it would be a hard sell.
Season 3 is gonna be so hard-focused on Charlie's family drama and Angel Dust's stuff, so I don't think Emily would have time for a subplot. Season 4? The gold-themed one where Velvette is a central V-antagonist? That would actually be the perfect time to introduce "romance between a seraphim and an overlord that causes a scandal".
We know the crew likes Phantom of the Opera, it's been referenced a few times in Helluva Boss, so it would also be good to have songs for the characters and they would bounce off of each other well.
Finally… we don't have a lot of dynamics that are "silly perky woman" and "tall, older, scary sexyman" I realized. It's usually the other way around more often than not, which was something that was pointed out to me yesterday, so this would be a unique dynamic to Hellaverse.
Now the real issue would be… fans (and obsessive antis) would absolutely crash tf out over the idea of Emily ending up with Maestro, a character who has had minimal screen time and interaction thus far as opposed to one of their favs (Abel, Lute, Alastor) or be upset that Emily is dating a man at all when her preference hasn't been confirmed.
Viv and crew already have to deal with people wanting to put her head on a pike and I have no doubt in my mind some ppl would lynch the crew over this. 😭 Soooo maybe it's best to leave it to fan-fiction for the sake of everyone's sanity and safety.
That and I do worry that having more than our main 3 ships of focus already present (Chaggi, Huskerdust, Cherrisnake) would cause things to be a lil cluttered maybe.
