I've been very lucky to photograph @mariasharapova at many tournaments and exhos in recent years. I got to see her not just as a professional tennis player, but as a professional who plays tennis. She answered press questions thoughtfully but never robotically, she knew who was in the room and had a sense of purpose, she was always kind without being afraid to be irreverent. Definitely one of my favorites to photograph and listen to. She elevated women's tennis and the @wta globally in ways that can't be overstated. Her business acumen is a model for fellow players and I am sure it will serve her well in all future ventures off the court.
