for real though, it would have been so, so easy for kubo to make kazui a carbon copy of ichigo where you could just cut, copy, and paste him into a “ichigo x [insert character here]” pairing AU without a second thought, and then ppl would have an easier time pretending that kubo only paired ichigo with orihime in the first place solely for the sake of procreation just to make a “next gen mini-ichigo” but instead kubo was having none of that bullshit lmao. he made kazui so fucking similar!!!! to his mother, orihime, as a constant reminder that kazui is not just ichigo’s son, he is ichigo and orihime’s son. you can’t erase her from the equation without looking like a fool. kubo knows how hated she is from a certain side of this fandom and just…didn’t fucking care djhgdjfhgjdhjg, because no matter what, orihime, and her cute little smile and expressions that they despise so much, will forever be staring back at them through the face of the child she had with ichigo, as a direct reminder of canon!! of their love!!! and their marriage!!!! and their happy life together. regardless of how much you hate ichihime, kubo does not give a single shit. die mad i guess lmao
