• You couldn’t stand staying under the same roof as him.
• So after that fight, you packed your things, what's left of your dignity and left his cramped house.
• He knew he fucked up.. badly.
• So he gave you space and time.
• Besides, he didn’t know how to say what he truly felt.
• Didn’t know how to get on bis knees and beg you to stay… how to admit he’d fall apart without you.
• You stayed at a friend’s apartment while looking for an affordable place for yourself.
• With your friend at work, you you stayed alone most of the day.
• Too much time to think, to reflect, to replay everything over and over again.
• And slowly, your thoughts started turning against you.
• You found it easier to blame yourself for the state you were in.
• For not listening to your friends and for choosing someone who didn't choose you.
• For listening to your heart instead of your mind.
• You’d be lying if you said you didn’t miss him. You missed him more than you wanted to admit.
• But you knew leaving him was the right decision, even if it hurts.
• A week passed. No messages. No calls.
• And you were convinced that he moved on, probably fucking someone else.
• But you were wrong, Toji was a complete mess.
• Sleepless nights. Heavy eyes, with a heart that wouldn’t stop aching.
• He hated it. Your absence drove him insane.
• That confident, mean and scary guy was nothing but a lost man with a broken heart and miserable life.
• Anytime he looked around, he missed your presence.
• The way your voice and laughter filled his cold quiet house and made the walls less suffocating.
• The way you were so patient and generous with him even though he knew he didn't deserve any of that.
• The way you tried your hardest to make him happy but he pushed you into a void of sadness instead.
• The distance made things clearer in the worst way possible.
• Now he understood his feelings, fully.
• And he was certain of one thing; He loves you so fucking much that it hurts.
• He loves you so much that he pushed you away, terrified of what losing you would do to him.
• But he lost you anyway.
• You couldn’t take it anymore.
• Each day felt heavier than the last, the guilt, the love, the way you neglected yourself, the way you settled for him even though you knew you deserved much better.
• And still, you couldn't quit thinking about him.
• So you went to drink. To forget.
• Your feet carried you back to the same bar where you first met.
• The atmosphere hadn’t changed. Same dim lights. Same noise. Same energy.
• The only different thing was you , it was your turn to drink your pain away now, not him.
• You drank heavily.. to the point that it became hard to keep your head up.
• Everything started to blur.
• Everything started to make you laugh.
• So you laughed. You laughed like your life was all some kind of joke and you were the punchline.
• You mumbled incoherent words to anyone who passed by, "Love..they say"
• You slurred, a broken laugh slipping out, "Funny.. don’t you think??! t’s funnyyyyyy.. when.. when.. when y-you’re just… a plaything? When you thought you were… something?"
• A bitter laugh left your lips, as you sipped from your bottle, "Mm.. very pathetic.. I.. I was naive.."
• You didn’t notice the heavy footsteps approaching behind you.
• This time not to forget but so the alcohol could make him brave enough to apologize and beg you to come back to him.
• And to his luck, he found you.
• Head resting against the bar, empty bottles scattered around you.
• Laughing to yourself while tears streamed down your face.
• And the moment he saw you, his heart dropped, his stomach sank.
• "Yn.." he called your name, panic clear in his tone.
• You slowly lifted your head, one eye barely open, the other still shut, "..hm?"
• Then you saw him, and bursted into laughter again, "Ooooo.. look who’s here.." you slurred, "Look… who showed up… after a weeeek…"
• You pointed at him lazily, getting the attention of the people there, "The.. star of the show…" you giggled, "Toji.. Fushiguro.."
• "Let’s get you out of here" he said in a serious tone, already reaching for you.
• But you weakly pushed his hand away, "Nooo… I wanna stay"
• "Yn, look at you. You’re a mess.. let’s go home" he urged, trying again.
• You pressed your hand against his chest, pushing him back, "Ooooh.. wonder why…" you laughed, "I look like..what? A mess…?"
• You snorted, louder this time.
• "Yn, come on" he tried again.
• People were starting to stare now.
• "Miss, is he bothering you?" one of the guys nearby asked, eyeing Toji suspiciously.
• And something in Toji snapped scaring the guy away, "Who the fuck are you?" he shot back, voice low and dangerous, "That’s my girlfriend. Mind your fucking business before I break your face"
• "Girl…friend…?" you repeated, blinking at him before laughing again, "No, nooo.. ex—fuck.. buddies".
• And that broke his heart, because to him you were never fuck buddies.
• "Yn, stand up" he said, tone getting sharper, "We’re leaving"
• You ignored him completely and reached for another bottle but he caught your wrist before you could.
• "No. Stop. No more drinks, okay?" he said softly.
• You whined, loud and childish, "Nooooo… fuck you, Toji…"
• "We’re going home" he repeated, pulling you up despite your resistance.
• "What home…?” you mumbled, brows knitting together, "You call that… shithole… a home…?"
• He exhaled sharply, rubbing his temples, "So you’re not gonna make this easy, huh?"
• You looked him straight in the eyes, and for a second, your voice came out clear, "Screw you, Toji"
• He bit the inside of his cheek, "..Okay. Fine"
• Before you could react, he lifted you onto his shoulder.
• Paid for the drinks. And walked out.
• You fought him the entire way. Kicking, hitting, grabbing his hair and pulling hard.
• But he didn’t put you down.
• You screamed as he carried you through the street, people staring like he was dragging you away against your will.
• "Leave me alooooone, you scumbag…!" you shouted.
• His grip only tightened, "You can hit me all you want" he said, voice firm, "Scream as much as you need"
• Then he paused and added, "I’m not letting you go...Not this time"
• You didn’t stop talking the entire way home.
• Laughing, swearing at him, insulting him in the worst ways possible.
• But he didn’t respond. He just kept walking.
• With one hand, he unlocked the door, the other stayed firmly around you, keeping you from slipping.
• You kept mumbling into his back the entire time.
• He stepped inside, shut the door behind him with his foot, and carried you further to the bedroom.
• Carefully, he lowered you onto the bed.
• You stared at him as he sat on the edge beside you.
• And for a moment, everything went quiet.
• Then he moved closer and you flinched instantly.
• "No.." your voice cracked as you pulled back, "Stay back.. I-I’m not making the same mistake…I won’t let.. you touch me…"
• Like something inside him shattered completely.
• He hated himself in that moment.
• Hated the way he had made you feel.
• Hated that you looked at him like he was just using you.
• Hated that somewhere along the way, he became someone you cannot trust.
• His hand froze mid-air, he didn’t know what to do with it.
• Didn’t know what to say, like always.
• He couldn’t even breathe properly for a second.
• "I’m d-drunk… yet I couldn’t… forget.. that I'm hurt" you mumbled, a shaky smile forming despite everything.
• A tear slipped down your cheek as you continued, "I.. don’t wanna… stay here.. I don't wanna suffer again"
• He swallowed hard, it physically hurt him.
• Because it was his fault.
• You weren’t feeling safe, not in his space, not with him. And he had done that.
• "I.." he started, voice low, "I… won’t touch you. I promise"
• You looked at him slowly, eyes scanning him like you were trying to decide if that was true, "..then why did you bring me here?" you asked, exhausted.
• "..To .. to take care of you" he said quietly, "You're drunk".
• That made you burst into laughter, "That’s funny.." you gasped between laughs, "You’re hilarious, Toji...You should be a comedian. Maybe you can finally find a stable job making people laugh.. instead of leaving me in the middle of the night.. just to end up.. getting your hands.. dirty…"
• The words hit him harder than you realized.
• And he didn’t interrupt you.
• He just sat there, taking it.
• Because for once in his life, Toji Fushiguro decided to face his truth, head on.
• And what hurt him most is that he knows when drunk you channel your true inner feelings and thoughts.
• So all these insults, were meant.
• He was still sitting at the edge of the bed, staring at you, he missed your face, he missed your voice even though it was carrying insults.
• You were getting more and more sleepy with each word you threw his way.
• And slowly you drifted to sleep. He didn't dare change your clothes into pyjamas, scared that you might misunderstand.
• So he just took off your shoes, and pulled the blanket up.
• He leaned closer, allowing his hand to softly caress your messy hair as he admired you with an aching heart and a lump that made it difficult to breathe.
• The next morning you woke up with a bounding head and a twisting stomach.
• When you found yourself in the room you had escaped for a week, you panicked.
• You quickly stood up and unsteadily ran toward the door, ready to leave when you bumped into him.
• Your heart was racing, not out of fear but out of anger.
• "What am I doing here?" you asked.
• He didn't answer he just stared at you.
• "Get out of my way, Toji. I'm leaving"
• But he didn't move an inch, still standing in the door frame like a wall.
• You let out a frustrated breath, "I'm not doing this again.. okay? I left your ass a week ago, and I'm not coming back"
• Without saying anything he pulled you against him, in a tight hug.
• Your eyes widened, "W-what are you..doing?"
• You could feel his heart drumming against his chest, he was nervous.
• "I'm not good with words" he started, "I suck at communication, I suck at expressing myself but I will try.."
• You didn't hug him back, you froze.
• "I'm a dangerous man, yn.. I have a dangerous life.. And I didn't want you getting hurt along the way"
• "But I already did" you whispered against his chest, "I'm hurt.."
• "And that's why I hate myself... you were the only light in my darkness.."
• You scoffed, eyes stinging with tears, "And you were the darkness to my light, Toji"
•You pushed him away, and your eyes widened, he was crying.
• "I fucked up, I treated you badly because I was a fucking coward.."
• "No... please let me talk.. You've always begged for us to talk, and I finally gathered the fucking courage to do so.."
• You paused, you just listened.
• "I've always left a part of my story untold, because I didn't want to reopen that wound.. but now I have to.."
• He paused taking a deep breath, "My wife.. sh-she was killed because of me.. because of the danger I bring upon people around me.. I was scared you would face the same fate.." he looked down, "So I pushed you away.. I was cold and neglecting just so you can get bored and leave, so you can be safe..."
• Now he looked at you, a tear streaming down his cheek, "It's true. You deserve so much better. You deserve a man who would love you, cherish you and make you feel safe.. But I can't handle it.. the thought of someone else having you drove me crazy!! So baby, I want to be that man. I want to make you feel safe, to feel protected.."
• Your heart skipped a beat, you didn't expect him to show this much emotion.
• "Toji.." you whispered, you were speechless.
• "Please.." he begged, "Forgive me.. let me be that man, your man"
• Before you can say anything, the hangover crashed in.
• You quickly shut your eyes, wincing and holding your head, the headache was getting unbearable.
• He quickly held your head gently, "Are you okay??"
• "Do I look okay to you?" you said glaring but somehow your hear was feeling less heavy.
• A small smile tugged at his lips, "You drank too much.. I'll bring you water and make you some tea.."
• You were back on the bed, and he walked in with a bottle of water and a warm cup of herbal tea.
• He sat at the edge of the bed, "Here lemme help you, be careful it's too hot".
• "It's not like you at all.." you mumbled as you observed him while making effort.
• "This is the real me when I'm in love"
• And both of you froze.
• It was the first time he says it, that he loves you.
• "Toji.. please don't lie—"
• "I'm not" he cut you off, "I love you, Yn, so fucking much"
• He placed the cup of tea aside and found his way next to you under the blanket.
• Before you could protest, he said, "I'm not trying to do anything.. I just want to be here with you, for you.. My love isn't just physical.. I'm not only thinking about sex when I'm with you.. we can be together for years and I won't force you to do anything if that's what you want.. so please, don't look at me like that.. let me cuddle you, this time I want to be present"
• Hearing his genuine words, you finally relaxed.
• The tension of that past week finally fleeing, now you can really enjoy being in his arms.
• Once he felt your muscles relax, he took it as a green light to hold you close. Your head on his chest, his arms wrapped around you protectively.
• And for the first time, his touch wasn't cold, it was warm and full of love.
• "I love you" he mumbled into your hair, "I promise I wil fix this because you matter to me, more than you think"
• "I didn't know you were this soft" you said and he can feel tour smirk against his chest.
• "And I didn't know you can be that sharp.. you roasted the shit out of me yesterday" he scoffed.
• "You deserved it though" you clicked your tongue.
• "Yes ma'am I totally deserved it" he said planting a kiss on the top of your head.
• And like that Toji proved that love isn't just sexual but a genuine connection and soft intentions.
ᴍᴇɢᴜᴍɪ ꜰᴜꜱʜɪɢᴜʀᴏ: ᴀ ʀᴇꜰʟᴇᴄᴛɪᴏɴ ᴏꜰ ᴍᴇ
• Your silence and the distance you create were impossible to ignore.
• The first day he assumed you're just upset.
• He told himself you'll cool off and talk again about what happened when you're ready.
• But apparently you were never ready.
• You kept ignoring him, avoiding him.
• During training, you chose to train alone instead of with him.
• He watched you handle everything alone, struggle, push yourself beyond your limits.
• He approached you, trying to check in, to help, "Do you need hel-"
• But like every time that week, you cut him off coldly, sharply, "No."
• His face remained blank, but deep inside his stomach twisted, "Are you sure you're okay?"
• Again, your answer was flat and short, not even looking at him as you put on your bandages, "I'm fine."
• For the entire training session, you pushed through it alone.
• Injured? You patched yourself up.
• Tired? You didn't complain to him like you used to so he could give you the best shoulder massage.
• Every day, you got home, you didn't talk to him, just showered and went into your room (you guys have separate rooms for when you need some privacy; let's normalize that).
• One night during that hellish week, he heard you speaking on the phone, shouting and frustrated.
• He knew something was wrong, that you were dealing with something.
• He hesitated before entering, and when he asked, "I heard you shouting... is everything okay?"
• You glanced at him, eyes empty, "Yes. Why wouldn't it be?"
• It was simple and direct, but it landed wrong.
• Because it doesn't sound like you anymore.
• He's used to your voice carrying emotions instead of stillness.
• You didn't fill him in about anything anymore.
• Not the casual ranting about people who got on your nerves.
• Not the "Gumi, you won't believe what happened today!!!"
• And not the gossip that used to spill out the moment you saw him.
• Now everything is contained, locked away where he can't reach.
• But he kept trying, he tried to stand closer to you, to initiate something, skinship maybe, or even a small conversation.
• But now, even when he's physically near you, he's not included in that mental space anymore.
• It broke him when he realized he's no longer privileged to be in your inner world, your happiness, your sadness, the little things that made you... you.
• And what made it worse is that you're still living your life, still reacting to things, feeling things, just hiding it all from him.
• That exclusion... hurt more than anything.
• On the sixth night, you left on a mission alone.
• He was in the kitchen baking some cookies for you so he could apologize properly, when you grabbed you jacket and left.
• "Going somewhere?" he asked, but the door was already shut.
• It got really late, and it was his turn to pace in the house.
• He called you multiple times, but you had already turned off your phone the moment you left.
• His heart was racing, almost leaping out of his throat.
• He called Yuuji first, then Nobara and Satoru. Anyone he trusted enough to ask directly.
• "Have you seen her? Do you know where she went?"
• The answer was the same; they didn't know.
• He just ended the call faster every time and grabbed his jacket as he decided he was going to find you himself.
• By the time he was at the door, you turned the doorknob and walked in.
• Your legs were heavy, exhaustion clear in your eyes.
• "Where have you been?" he asked, his voice serious and tight.
• "Out," you answered shortly, as you took your shoes off, not even looking at him.
• He stopped in front of you. "Why did you turn your phone off?"
• "I didn't... the battery died," you replied coldly, already moving past him as if the conversation were over.
• That's when he grabbed your wrist, stopping you.
• "Yn," he started, softly this time, "I was worried about you."
• You didn't hesitate to shut him out for the millionth time that week, "There's no need to worry."
• His brows knitted together immediately, "What do you mean, no need to worry? What if something happened to you?"
• "I'm fine," you cut in instantly.
• And that's when you snapped, "I said I'm fine, Megumi. I'm not obligated to fill you in about everything" you raised your voice, snatching your hand back from his grip.
• Not because he was shocked by your reaction, but because he understood that you were mirroring him.
• He got it, how frustrated you must have felt every time he acted that way.
• How heavy your heart was every time he shut you out.
• And above all, how patient you were with him before finally snapping.
• He saw it clearly; it wasn't just anger, it was punishment.
• A reflection of everything he did to you.
• The atmosphere remained tense after your words.
• "I know how it feels now..." he started quietly, "What you were going through..."
• You didn't react much, or at all, and said, "It doesn't matter."
• And something inside him shattered, "I know it's not you, Yn... this isn't the real you!"
• "People can change, Megumi. Get over it," you replied, still cold and guarded.
• But he didn't step back, "You changed because of me, right? I know I hurt you that badly that you're forcing yourself to act this way."
• You scoffed, "What way? Your way? I thought I was being normal, to be honest. Just minding my own business, choosing what to share and what not to share."
• His eyes flickered, "But you didn't share anything for the past five days, yn."
• You tilted your head slightly, "So what? Do I need to prepare a daily report for you?"
• "No," he shook his head. "That's not what I meant—it's just frustrating, okay?"
• "I'm fine. So don't get frustrated."
• That word, again, fine.
• He exhaled through his nose, "I think I understand why that word triggered you so much..." he admitted, "Because right now... it's making me lose my fucking mind."
• You didn't say anything. Your heart was breaking as well
• Giving him the silent treatment, swallowing your emotions back, wasn't an easy task.
• But you endured it, just to teach him a lesson.
• Silence settled between you, then he spoke again, "I'm sorry... for not being the man you deserve. For not giving you the chance to be there for me. For not putting your heart at ease. For making you worry all the time because I was too scared to open up".
• He took a step closer, "This feeling sucks. I couldn't even handle a week of this... and you've been handling it for a long time. So please let me fix it, let me try! Don't give up on me... on us! Help me out of this bubble I keep putting myself in. I want to be real and raw with you, all of it."
• He hesitated but continued anyway, because it was the only chance to fix things, "I was just afraid you'd see me as weak and pathetic."
• You had to interrupt him, so you spoke. "In all the times I shared my problems, did you think I was weak?"
• "No" he replied firmly.
• "Pathetic?" you asked.
• "No," he said again without hesitation.
• "Dramatic? Overreacting? Sensitive?"
• "No... no, baby... no. I never thought of you like that."
• "Same for me," you shrugged, and he blinked.
• You continued, more calm and softer this time, "So why'd you assume I'd see you that way for opening up? I'm not that type of person, Megumi."
• He just stared at you, listened, and took in every word
• You added, "Talking about your problems with the right person isn't weakness, it's trust. Being able to trust someone with your mind isn't pathetic... it's a blessing, a strength."
• Now you took a step closer, "Loving someone means loving all of them, not just the parts that are easy to carry... but also what's hidden in their shadows"
• The words settled between you two.
• And for the first time in a week, the distance started to vanish.
• It felt like an opening.
• The tension, the pain, the frustration of a long week started to loosen
• Without thinking twice, you both moved at the same time.
• As if an invisible force pulled you toward each other.
• One hand on your waist, the other firm on your hip. While your hands cupped his cheeks.
• The kiss was warm and sweet.
• You can feel him relax entirely now.
• You kissed each other very slowly, like savoring each movement of your lips against each other.
• He talked between kisses, "You're right... about everything... mmbaby."
• He pulled away slightly, resting his forehead against yours, "My behavior toward you was wrong, I admit it."
• He exhaled slightly, his warm breath tickling you, "I know I'm a private person... But that shouldn't mean I shut you out, not you..."
• You caressed his cheek slowly, smiling softly at his words as he continued.
• "I will try harder and harder every single day... so I can be the man you deserve... the man you want."
• He pecked your lips quickly before adding, "That's on me, baby... but I'll fix it, yeah? Because I'd rather lose myself than lose you."
• "Shhh. You won't be losing anything, Gumi! We'll work on it, together," you reassured him, and that's all he needed.
• His hands didn't leave your waist; it only tightened.
• He picked you up, and you immediately wrapped your legs around his torso while giggling.
• He kissed you again, swallowing your giggles
• The kiss was bolder this time, more rushed, as if he was in a race against time, against the night.
• Desperately wanting to feel you more before the break of dawn.
• You didn't disappoint; you kissed him with the same intensity.
• Moaning into each other's mouths from how good that closeness felt after a week of distance.
• He placed you on the kitchen counter and moved to kiss your neck, your ear, your forehead before turning to your lips.
• His kisses were messy, unpredictable, but you loved each and every one of them.
• You wanted him all over you—no, you needed him.
• You missed your man so much, and he was getting more and more worked up with each kiss, each moan that resonated into his ears.
• Then he stopped when he remembered something, and you almost whined, "I made you some cookies, by the way! We can eat them while we have a nice talk about everything, yeah?"
• You chuckled, "Well, thank you for the cookies, baby! I'll eat them later, okay?.
• "But for now... how about you have my cookie? And for the talking part, you can talk to me through it, hm?"
• He was already exhausted from all that kissing, and now you made it even worse for him.
• But of course, he loved it.
• He planted a kiss on your lips, smiling, "I can't say no to such an offer."
• He gently spread your legs, positioning himself between them. "I will take you right here, right now... I won't stop until we're both satisfied."
• And by the look in his eyes, you knew he wouldn't quit until you screamed his name, over and over again.
ʜɪɢᴜʀᴜᴍᴀ ʜɪʀᴏᴍɪ : ᴛʜᴇ ᴠᴇʀᴅɪᴄᴛ
• "Yes, Hiromi. I want a divorce."
• His eyes were wide, his face pale. "Like ending our marriage? Throwing away all the years we've been together?"
• "It wasn't out of nowhere," you said coldly.
•"H... how long have you been thinking about this?" he asked, but at the same time scared of your answer.
• "It's been building up for weeks," you replied, clutching your bag.
• "Building up?" he repeated softly, "Have you really been this unhappy with me?" he swallowed hard.
• You looked away, "Just because I hide it doesn't mean I don't feel it—your obliviousness, it's making me feel like my emotions inly matter if I can provide evidence for them"
• He looked down briefly, "I... I wasn't trying to make you feel this way"
• "But you did! God, yes, Hiromi, you did it over and over again—" you shouted, your voice cracking.
• He stopped, and now he wasn't hearing your argument but your pain, "I... Yn- I genuinely didn't realize it affected you this deeply, to the point that you considered leaving"
• You smiled through your pain, "That's the problem. You didn't realize... and I kept waiting for you to... to protect our marriage from anyone crossing the line—but you didn't. And above all..." you paused, scoffing. "...you had the audacity to turn it into a trial... just because what? You believe your assistant is innocent until proven guilty when she's clearly INTO A MARRIED MAN."
• He had no answer, and that terrified him.
• Because Higuruma Hiromi always had an answer.
• You looked up, not letting the tears down, "In all these years you know that I never doubted you. But I guess trusting someone blindly can be dangerously misleading," you added sharply, using that courtroom tone since he loves it so much.
• He froze, he felt a pang in his heart, "Do you really mean that?"
• You let out a shaky breath, "I can't keep fighting to be emotionally understood by my own husband... It's exhausting," you said.
• Then you turned toward the door, "I will send you the divorce papers."
• Real panic flooded him instantly.
• The way you turned your back, the way you were too serious, and clearly done with him... it terrified him.
• Because he knows how stubborn you are, how strict you can get.
• He needed to do something, because he knows if you took even a single step out that door and he doesn't do anything, then there'll be no chance for reconciliation... and he'll lose you forever.
• His footsteps came quick behind you, literally moved in a blink.
• His warm hand wrapped your wrist and pulled you back as you were about to step out.
• You could feel how tense he was, his fingers curled tightly.
• "Hiromi..." you started.
• But he cut you off, his voice cracking, "Don't"
• And before you could react, he fell to his knees, making a thud against the floor.
His hand moved from your wrist to your tight, firm waist. Afraid that if he let go, you'd disappear.
• He rested his forehead against your stomach, and you froze completely.
• He shook his head slowly, not daring to look at you.
• "Don't do this," he said, his voice trembling, "...please."
• He was nothing like the composed lawyer everyone feared.
• Your heart twisted painfully.
• You'd never seen him like this before... ever.
• His fingers clutched your sides tighter, "Don't leave me—I handled this wrong... I messed up... I hurt you... But don't end our marriage, don't end us, Yn..."
• He finally looked up at you.
• His eyes were glossy, desperate, and begging, "Please, baby."
• You started at him in shock.
• Because this wasn't normal, not for the two of you.
• You and Hiromi were always that: serious, composed, rational, and elegant couple.
• Neither of you begged for anything; you never had to.
• The only time he got on her knees was when he proposed, and it was on one knee only.
• Your relationship was built on respect and trust.
• But now, that self-respect and that pride shattered onto the office floor right beside him.
• "H-hiromi..." you whispered, eyes wide, "stand up..."
• "No," he replied immediately.
• His grip around your waist tightened, "I'm not standing up until I know you're not leaving."
• Your breath stuttered, you didn't know what to say anymore.
• "I need you to understand something," he continued, his voice rushed and desperate, "I never cheated on you... I would never cheat or even think about it"
• His forehead pressed harder against your stomach, "Because I love you and I respect you"
• He let out a shaky breath, "Even if the whole world turned upside down, even if all the balances altered... my eyes would still search for you"
• Your chest tightened, "Hiromi.."
• "I'll fix this.." he said quickly.
• Tears gathered in your eyes again, "How? How are you going to fix it? By stopping her next time she flirts with you?"
• "There won't be a next time," he said firmly, not wasting a second.
• Your brows furrowed slightly, "Huh?"
• "I'll fire her," he answered.
• Your eyes widened instantly, "You'll f-fire her?"
• "Yes," he said without hesitation, "I'll do whatever you want if it means you stay beside me."
• His forehead dropped against you again; you could feel how heavily he was breathing.
• "You're right..." he admitted, "I was oblivious.. I genuinely didn't notice what she was doing.. you know me, I would never betray you.. never."
• He closed his eyes briefly, "Earlier I was angry... stubborn. Too focused on proving my point instead of protecting your feelings." His voice softened, "But if my way of handling things is pushing you away from me, then I'll change it. I'll stop arguing back, I'll stop trying to win, and just do whatever you feel is right for us"
• "Do you mean it?" you asked, wanting to make sure each word was meant.
• A soft, sad chuckle left his lips, "Yn... I'm so desperate for you... you have no idea"
• He didn't see your expression, but he felt it, the small vibration against him.
• He looked up, and there you were, smiling through watery eyes.
• "Never in my life..." you started softly, "did I think I'd see Hiromi Higuruma begging"
• Heat instantly crept up the back of his neck.
• Before he could say anything, your fingers slipped under his chin, tilting his face upward, fully toward you.
•"But I think—" your thumb brushed gently against his skin, "I like it"
• His breath hitched, "Y-yn."
• There he stuttered again.
• "We've always been the female and male versions of each other, ever since college days. You never begged for things, and neither did I. You simply presented your arguments and claimed what was yours with logic—"
• He interrupted quickly, "There's always a first time for everything"
•You paused, completely caught off guard by that answer.
• His gaze softened, "Sometimes, there's that one person who makes you do things you never thought you'd do—for me, that person is you, it will always be you... you made me realize I was wrong, feelings can't be measured with laws—"
• His hands slid up your back slowly, looking up, "Love is lawless-"
• And God, that man knew exactly how to speak when he truly meant each word.
•Your hands slowly slipped into his hair. Your soft fingers threading through his dark strands.
• Neither of you needed words anymore, you just stared at him.
• And that alone said everything.
• His breath turned heavier under your gaze.
• "Don't look at me like that, baby..." he whispered before leaning forward and pressing a soft kiss against your stomach without breaking eye contact with you.
• Your heart fluttered inside your chest, "Why not?" you whispered back.
• "Because it's dangerous..."
• And you knew exactly what he meant, it made your eyes darken.
•He recognized that look in your eyes immediately.
• Without another word, he stood up, lifting you up effortlessly.
• Your legs instinctively wrapped around his torso as he held you tight.
• He needed to feel your body against his, needed the full reassurance that you were still there with him
• One hand under your thighs, the other one sawed everything off his desk.
• The files, the papers, the documents all crashing onto the floor.
• "Hiromi... the files," you said in disbelief when you saw the way he swept them carelessly.
• "Let them fall... none of it matters more than you."
• God, hearing that from him made your knees weak.
• Because this was the same man who organized every paper perfectly.
• The same man who treated his documents as if they were sacred objects.
• But now? He couldn't care less.
• He placed you on his desk now.
• The way he stood between your legs, the way he stared at you, the way his shirt was unbuttoned, and the cherry on top: the devastated look on his face.
• "Are you going to study me like one of your cases, Hiromi?" you said with a slight smirk.
•He took off his jacket, unbuckling his belt, "Oh baby, it's going to be a loooong study session"
• You were right where you wanted to be, so all you did was wrap your legs around him and pull him toward you, right into position, "Then I hope you don't get tired of too much studying!" you teased.
• He laughed, "Oh trust me when it comes to you, I'm always full on energy"
• His wooden desk creaked beneath you from how fast he was thrusting inside you.
• Eyes rolled back, hands wrapped tightly around his neck, pulling him even closer.
• Between his desperate groans and your loud moans, both of you abandoned any law or logic you once followed, just for the sake of being with each other.
ɴᴀɴᴀᴍɪ ᴋᴇɴᴛᴏ: ᴀꜰᴛᴇʀ ʜᴏᴜʀꜱ
• You barely made it to the bathroom.
• You dropped to your knees, your stomach twisting violently as you threw up.
• Kento rushed in right behind you.
• One hand held your hair back, keeping it out of your face, the other was on your forehead, firm, grounding you as your head grew heavier.
• "It's okay... you're okay... I've got you," he whispered gently.
• After you finished, you slumped forward, trying to catch your breath.
• With one hand still on your back, his other hand reached out and flushed the toilet.
• "Are you done?" he asked quietly, "or do you still feel like throwing up?"
• You shook your head weakly then tried to stand up despite your trembling body.
• Kento quickly reached for you, "Here, let me help you."
• "I'm fine" you muttered, brushing his hand away from your waist as you pushed yourself up.
• "Sweetheart-" he started, said more softly
• "I said I'm fine, Kento!" you shouted, then cleared your throat, as it felt so dry.
• Your legs betrayed you, and he knows how terrible you feel every time you throw up.
• Your body shaky, energy drained, head dizzy, and your throat felt very sore.
• So he stepped in anyway, despite your glares and stubbornness.
• His hand found your waist again, guiding you to the sink. "Let's wash your face; it will help you freshen up, hm?"
• "I can do it myself, so there's no need to make an effort now" you replied sharply.
• "I know you can! But I still want to"
• You sighed in annoyance as he washed your face carefully, then tied your hair up in a cute, loose bun, his fingers gentle against your scalp.
• By the time he led you back to the bedroom, you were too exhausted to fight him anymore.
• "Stay here," he muttered as he sat you gently on the bed.
• You didn't answer, just sat there, fidgeting with your fingers, trying to fight off that lingering feeling.
• He returned quickly with a bottle of water; the sight of you made his heart break over and over again.
• He hates it when you're uncomfortable, sick, or in pain.
• Especially now that maybe he's the reason you felt that way.
• He kneeled in front of you and opened the bottle for you. "Here, drink," he said softly, guiding the bottle to your lips
• His thumb traced slow circles against your legs, steadying you as you sipped and took a few sips.
• "...slowly...yeah? ..good"
• He couldn't help but notice the exhaustion in your eyes, skin pale.
• He exhaled slowly, as he lowered his head and spoke, "I'm sorry, sweetheart."
• Guilt settled in his chest heavy with each breath he took.
• He paused, his hands holding your hips, grounding himself, "All of this... happened because of me. And I despise myself for it."
• You let out a frustrated sigh, your grip tightening around the bedsheet, "I don't want to have this conversation again, Kento."
• He immediately nodded, "Yes, of course... Absolutely."
• He looked up, meeting your gaze, "I just need you to know that what happened tonight won't happen again"
• He noticed the way your brows knitted together, the way you hesitated.
• "I don't... know, Kento." You shook your head slightly.
• Something in him shifted, making his heart skip a beat.
• He quickly moved from kneeling to sitting beside you on the bed, making sure to keep his distance, not to overwhelm you.
• "Hm?" His voice was even softer and more careful, "You don't know what?"
• You took a deep breath and said, "...if it really won't happen again"
• Silence fell for a second.
• "I was wrong. I made a serious mistake," he started, choosing his words carefully.
• "You have every right to be mad at me. To raise your voice, to refuse to forgive me... it's just—"
• You cut him off, "It's just what? You're going to give me some excuse right now?".
• He shook his head calmly, "No. You know I don't make excuses. I take full responsibility for my mistakes, and that's what I'm doing right now!"
• He shifted slightly, fully facing you, "But I will explain."
• "The outside world is becoming more dangerous... special grades are getting stronger, more aggressive."
• His brows were knitted together; you could see and feel how tense he was.
• "They're not acting randomly, they're planning," he continued, "I've been working overtime to keep things contained, to make sure it's safe for you to go on your evening walks, on your morning runs."
• He scooted closer and exhaled slowly.
• "Lately, I haven't been able to rest properly... every time I close my eyes, I see the danger lurking from each side, that you're not safe anymore—".
• Your eyes softened, "Then why didn't you tell me from the start? Why did you leave me in the dark like that? I thought you didn't want me anymore."
• His eyes widened immediately and quickly reached for your hands, holding them tightly, "I will never stop wanting you—" he said in a desperate tone, "You're everything to me."
• His thumbs brushed your skin, "And yes, it's my fault. I should have told you, but I didn't want you worrying, overthinking, or feeling unsafe-"
• He paused, eyes full of guilt, "Ironically, I did exactly that."
• You stared at him as he ate himself up with guilt.
• Your expression softened completely, all the sharpness and frustration gone.
• You leaned slightly and spoke gently, "You don't have to act on your own, Kento. You don't have to carry all of that on your shoulders."
• You paused; you could feel his fingers twitch slightly.
• "Through thick and thin, remember?" you added, "Whatever worries you, worries me... Whatever makes you happy, makes me happy."
• You shifted closer to him and his heart started racing.
• Even after being married for a while, you still have that effect on him.
• "So don't hide things from me. Even if they're bad or scary, because I'd rather face it with you than be left guessing alone."
• "Yes" he said quietly, acknowledging your words and taking them by heart.
• And you finally smiled at him, small and soft. It made his heart melt.
• His shoulders loosened, tension left him completely replaced with relief.
• "I'm as protective of you as you are of me, you know."
• He didn't respond immediately; he just looked at you, focused on your face, the way your lips moved as you talked.
• Then, after a moment, he said, "May I kiss you, my love?"
• You blinked, then let out a small laugh, "Kento, I was just vomiting. Let me at least go brush my teeth first."
• He didn't move, only his eyebrows furrowed in confusion, "I don't care—I think I signed up for all of you... only when you feel perfect."
• He paused, his expression softening now, his hand gently placed on your waist, "And for the record... to me, you're always perfect, sweetheart."
• That made you smile wider, butterflies fluttering in your stomach, "Okay then, if that's the case then you may kiss me," you whispered.
• He leaned slowly, his hand gripping his sides firmly, then his lips met yours in a soft, warm kiss.
• He kissed you steadily, slowly... like everything chaotic outside your home no longer existed, no longer mattered.
• "I miss you... so much," he muttered between kisses.
• You clutched his shoulders as he pulled you closer, "Mmm, me too."
• He kissed you so hungrily yet so gentle, lips moving in sync as if they were made for each other (they are).
• He then pulled back, resting his forehead against his, catching your breath.
• "I need you, Kento," you whispered softly.
• He froze, "But sweetheart, you're exhausted... you need to rest."
• Your eyebrows knitted together, "Are you denying me, Nanami Kento?" you teased.
• He panicked immediately, "No," he answered too quickly, too firmly, "I would never refuse you."
• His reaction made you giggle. You like it when he's nervous because of you.
• "I just don't want you pushing yourself," he added, his thumb brushing your cheek, "Are you sure you'll be able to handle it tonight?"
• You paused, tilting your head, "Are you kidding me? I'm literally dripping for you as we speak."
• His face heated up instantly.
• You've always been this direct whenever you needed something, but this time it felt different, it felt more raw, more intense.
• Even though you were so chill about it.
• "So are you going to take care of it or not?" you asked.
• Not wasting a second, he gently pushed you onto the bed and got on top of you.
• His lips found yours again; this time the kiss wasn't gentle, he was devouring you.
• Your hands found their way to his chest, loosening his tie and unbuttoning his shirt.
• He moved down, kissing your jaw, neck, collarbone, chest, clothes, stomach, and then jumping to your inner thighs.
• He hummed between kisses, "Mhm... so you weren't exaggerating... you are indeed dripping for me..."
• Without hesitation, he planted a kiss there, right where you needed him.
• He looked up at you as he pulled your underwear down, and the sight of him between your legs almost made you come.
• "But don't worry... your husband will take good care of you," he said, his voice reverberating through your core, making you arch your back, desperate for him
• The room that had been filled with your shouting earlier, now echoed with the wet sounds of his tongue eating you out mixed with your soft moans and his satisfied groans.
