THE LAW HE, AS A CAPTAIN OF THE ARMY, HAS PROMISED TO LIVE BY

AND IT IS SO INGRAINED IN HIM TO FOLLOW THAT LAW AND THE PUNISHMENT THAT COULD FOLLOW HIM REFUSING TO OBEY COULD BE SERIOUS

AND YOU CAN SEE THAT IN HIS FACE, HOW MUCH THAT GETS TO HIM

HE IS SO CONFLICTED OVER A MILLION THINGS HERE

DO YOU HONESTLY THINK A GAY SCARE WAS THE ONLY THING GOING THROUGH HIS MIND RIGHT NOW

Here have another one.

One of the things Booker often gets made fun of for is being a dumdum, and how he can't follow simple instruction, but in all fairness and seriousness in-context they are deliberately shit instructions. They don't tell him to wait out the raffle outside, they don't tell him to avoid #77 IN the raffle, they just tell him "Do not pick #77". Booker doesn't realise this is even referring to the raffle until it's too late, because by the time he gets there he's already been through a fairground absorbing a bunch of other informations and getting a feel of his surroundings and then he's blocked from getting to the bridge and too preoccupied with just getting things over with and for this girl to stop bothering him.

If the Luteces wanted him to avoid getting exposed, they would have told him how to do so. Much like the coin toss and the brooches, they're just seeing what happens. They throw Booker a bone, but it's a very thin bone that snaps easily, to see if it will make any difference.

Rosalind: "Shall we tell him when we'll be returning?"

Robert: "Would that change anything?"

Booker always flips a coin, Booker always picks a brooch, Booker always draws a baseball at the raffle. The Luteces are just watching him under the microscope to see what he does different under the same recurring circumstances.

GN and Male Readers when they read an X Reader story when no specification of the Reader's gender and sees the words like, "baby girl" and "princess":

I am so tired of seeing fic labeled as "Reader x ______", expecting it to be gender neutral, when there is a blatant reference to the reader being female. Please start labeling them properly. "Fem!Reader x _______". I would very much appreciate that. Or maybe I should stop labeling my male reader and gender neutral fics correctly? Make them general. Because I would like to know what I'm getting into, and not every person in the fandom you're writing for is female. Please stop assuming they are. Those of us who are Male, Gender Neutral, and/or Non-Binary may not want to read female reader stories. And it really sucks when you click on one, hoping that it's gender neutral or even male, and find out that it's female.

Also, please stop tagging your female reader works in the male reader tag. We already don't have a lot of fics, and you're taking our space away from us. You're giving us false hope to something that we have so little of. If you're not going to write for us, then you could at least have the courtesy to not take our spaces.
