someone correct me if i’m wrong: there’s a big bad going on, larger than the average monster of the week variety. between that and not recognising one of her generations (i know from seeing gifsets in passing there’s a doctor that was just in at least one episode and neither of them recognised each other so who the hell is this doctor and why do neither of them remember the other?) she’s feeling broken and incompetent and unsafe and unsure and afraid and has been growing dimmer by the day in the face of this complex fear - and that last gif, that’s a flicker of her coming back to herself. finding it in herself (through people who love her, as that’s always the doctor’s strength) to feel hope, to see that there’s an end of the tunnel, and to decide that if there isn’t a light at the end of it then by god and gallifrey, she’s going to turn one on.
