The van Super-Adaptoid becomes in episode 4 of M.O.D.O.K. is a near-perfect replica of the 2001 Volkswagen Microbus concept.

One of the cars flying through the air in The Powerpuff Girls Movie is a 1957 Ford Thunderbird.

Though only a portion is shown, a 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado can be seen in Episode 3 of Megas XLR.

Season 1, episode 3 of Megas XLR also shows off an early gen Dodge Viper. Lack of intake vent on the hood marks this as a Gen 1 1992 model.

Season 1 Episode 3 of Megas XLR includes a ‘tricked out’ 1965 Chevrolet Impala.

The Blue Morpho’s car (Season 6 of The Venture Bros.) is a modified Mercedes-Benz 300 SL, built from 1953 to 1957, likely to its gullwing doors fitting with the butterfly wing motif.

In the first episode of Cowboy Bebop, a futuristic coupe appears, resembling an odd cross between a 1997 Mercedes-Benz A-class (W168, pictured left), and a 2001 Renault Avantime (pictured right), especially with the interesting trunk shape and 2-door layout.  Interestingly, the anime aired in 1998, and the Aventime’s prototype wasn’t revealed until 1999, so which inspired which?

A Fuller Dymaxion, built in 1933 appears near the end of Season 4 of The Venture Bros. Three prototypes were built, but only one survived, with replicas built in 2010 and 2015.

A modified Jensen Interceptor appears in Season 3 of The Venture Brothers. The Interceptor was built from 1966 to 1976.

A third-generation Subaru Legacy B4 can be seen in the second season of Durarara.

A 1992 Renault Twingo and a 1989 Mazda Miata, the latter shown and abused in the anime adaptation of Jojo’s Bizzare Adventure: Vento Aureo.

The REVA i electric car (known as the G-Wiz in the UK) was built from 2001 to 2012, and briefly cameos in the first trailer for Pokemon: Detective Pikachu.

A Nissan Cima F50 is driven during episode 50 of My Hero Academia. The F50s were built from 2001 to 2010. 

A 2011 Renault Wind briefly appears in season 2 episode 2 of The Looney Tunes Show. As an animated sitcom taking place in a typical North American neighborhood, it’s particularly odd to include a Wind, as Renault currently has no market there.

The sports car in the Looney Tunes short Rabid Rider has the general shape and detail of a late 70s Lamborghini Countach; however, the front end looks more inspired by a much newer model from Lamborghini, the 2014 Huracán.
