The Boss of Scott Miller
Scott Miller x Pregnant reader
If someone had told Scott 5 years ago that he would be getting bossed around by his pregnant wife…. he would have thought they were crazy.
But believe it or not, the man was exactly where he wanted to be. She was in fact, the only woman who could put him in his place. Or at the very least have an ego as big as his own.
Every morning before he was able to escape out the front door, she would call out to him.
“Oh Scotty!” She would sing-song from somewhere inside the house. Scott would freeze in place, his hand barely grasping the knob.
“You silly-willy, you were almost about to leave without giving me a kiss.” She reminded him.
He smiled and turned to face her, “of course…” he says retreating to in front of her to lean down and capture her lips with his.
“Be good, be safe…. Do you have your gum? Extra pens? Phone charged? Car keys? Wallet?” She began to list off for him and he pulled them from his pockets showing her every single item.
“Prepared like always, sweetheart… thanks to you.”
“I like you prepared… it means you’ll come home in one piece.” She says fixing his collar so it laid flat. “Now… don’t be a dick to your coworkers or I won’t blame them if they leave you out there for dead.”
“I’m always nice.” He says and she looks to glare at him.
“Now that’s a load of crap and you know it.” She says.
Scott chuckled, “alright… I will attempt to be cordial to my coworkers. Happy?” He asked.
She smiled, “extremely.” She said before grabbing his hands and placing them at your belly. “Baby boy wants to say bye to you too.” She says and Scott sighed with a smile before he knelt down to be eye-level with her bump.
“Hey kid, be good for your momma while I’m gone today; cause if you’re an ass, she’ll surely let me know about it.” Scott says before receiving a smack to the back of his head, “yeah, I should have seen that coming.” He admits.
“Well… here’s hoping our child didn’t acquire your fat head.” His wife sassed. “Or the world will be in some serious trouble.” She remarked.
Scott got up from the ground and held her hips in place, “oh is that so…” he asks and she nods.
“By the way I want you home this weekend to paint the nursery.”
Scott shook his head, “baby, I can’t… I have to go over the numbers from this week…” Scott began to explain but he quickly shut up as his wife gave him a look indicating that her demand was nonnegotiable. “You know what, I’ll just shut up.” He says.
She scoffed, “finally something we can agree on.” She snaps.
He rolled his eyes, “you are lucky I love you, woman.”
She laughed in his face, “oh please…. you’re lucky to love me, Miller. After all, I am the only woman who can put up with your bullshit.” She reminds him.
As much as Scott wanted to deny that fact, he was unable to. As much as his wife annoyed him to no end, he still loved her deeply. He may have been the boss at work, but at home… his wife was the boss and he was perfectly okay with that.
