   “No, I’m only walking around town. It’s quite boring around here.” Just another day in England. At least now he had seen a familiar face and could stop to make conversation. “Are you searching for something here?”

 “Fancy seeing you here, Miss Elizabeth. Are you on your way to go see the Earl?”

  Alistair was just roaming around London when he ran into the young Midford. He’d seen her once while he was consulting with Ciel about ‘business’ matters. Only once or twice had they spoken, but it was not enough to be fully acquainted.

She vaguely had recollections of the other, enough to understand he recognized her, and seemed to know Ciel as well- Ah! She knew now- He was one of his business partners, right? Then it would be good to get to know this man better, for if there were future interactions, once she was Ciel’s wife, it’d be important for her to help him keep secure relations with his partners.

              She is not used to affection from him, a kiss on the hands, tolerating her embraces– Those are usually the extent of his actions. So a kiss, even if it was just on the forehead somehow seemed

                 incredibly intimate. 

                     This is memories of her father kissing her forehead, feeling protected by her brother’s embrace, the very understanding of being safe and happy.

                      A glow lights up her face, a cheerful smile peacefully reaching up her lips.
