Yes, Angel repeatedly invades Husker’s personal space and acts in a sexually assaulting, unpleasant way regardless of whether Husk loves it or not; this is not the behaviour that should be praised or adored - but it also shouldn’t be shamed or erased.

Angel is a survivor of intense sexual trauma and abuse experience. He is also placed under direct and intense control of his abuser with little to no people having the same level of overpowering control over his life. People like him often take up the role of the abuser in other relationships they have for two most prominent reasons:

They do not know that the way they act is unnatural and abnormal. They do not know they are hurting another as they have been taught that abuse equals love.

They need to feel in control in at least some of their romantic connections in order to keep their mental stability. The realization that you have been abused can break a person if all they have ever known in their life is abuse they took for love.

Please, regardless of whether you like the trope with AngelHusk or not, do not spread misinformation about Angel - especially if you are a popular blog. It is NOT OOC considering his trauma and the extent of it. Yes, he would very likely act like that were he a living breathing person that went through this experience. It IS unpleasant to think about but - please - do not disregard Vivzie’s choice and the experience of abused people going through the same experience as he is.

It’s okay to expect that he learns.

It is not okay to erase this part of him and call it non-canon because this is canon and this is a very realistic experience an actual person can go through. Remember that behind Angel there are real people that might need to go through this with him in order to learn.
