VLAD & SUB CULTURE Born on November 4th 2051 and raised in Vista del Rey by a former member of the Philharmonic Vampyres as well as a ripperdoc father, Vlad Lermontov grew up to be someone that was nothing less than eccentric. From a very young age Vlad was raised to be unabashedly themself. A heavy aspect of Vlad's identity is their participation in the goth subculture, they are heavily intrigued by the macabre, taboo and the romantic. Vlad was heavily inspired by the DIY ethos of goth and punk which vlad infused into their techie endeavours, taking weapons and cyberware apart and turning them into something new. They also strongly believe in helping their community, they do this by using leftover materials from previous projects to make cybernetic limbs for those that need aid but cannot afford it, as well as offering free repairs. Vlad has a deep love for goth music their favourite genres being post punk, gothic rock, death rock and dark wave, though they listen to a bit of everything. Out of their love for music Vlad had learned guitar and taught themselves how to sing, they formed a band with a few friends in the scene and called it The Impalers. The group's music mainly focused on gothic rock as well as death rock. The band was considered to be fairly underground and mainly performed in clubs and bars focusing on alternative music (Joint Lore AU: one of which being the Dead End Club, which belongs to the lovely vampsharm!) The band later split up in 2075 due to interpersonal conflict and financial issues.
