I have seen people using they/them pronouns for Shi Qingxuan in fic and I think that’s completely valid, but my personal headcannon is that Shi Qingxuan specifically informs all the other gods that she uses both he/him and she/her pronouns, and that she prefers they switch between using both sets regularly and WILL take offence if they don’t. The boomer heavenly officials are all losing it and complaining about younger gods these days. Pei Ming is transmisogynist and purposefully uses only he/him for the wind master. He Xuan passive aggressively uses they/them (pre-relationship). Ling Wen is the only one aside from Xie Lian who always remembers and she switches flawlessly between both sets of pronouns when referring to Shi Qingxuan in her documents, making all the other heavenly officials look bad.
