I feel like my heart has been broken three times in the past year and a half. By the same person. Because I am stupid.

I'm a bad person.

I sound like such an asshole to everyone because so many people are happy to see me and all I want is to go back to Rome because Italy became home to me and the people I met there were family and it's like my heart is breaking

At first people here instantly recognized my American-ness and spoke to me in English but yesterday I was only spoken to in Italian when I went shopping. Except for one instance where a guy on the street asked me if I spoke English. It turned out he was from Peru studying Computer Science and only spoke Italian and Spanish and barely any English (not even conversational). Anyway, he needed help reading texts he was getting from his friend since his friend only spoke English. So I ended up translating texts from English to Spanish for him for about 10 minutes. I felt super accomplished about it and he was very nice and offered to buy me a drink and what not. So that was me doing my good deed for the day.

I keep having to remind myself there are some good men in my life or I would have no faith in the whole gender.

Men (some of them) are disgusting pigs.
