You Are a Child of the Universe

She never really found herself in these kinds of situations. Usually the blonde had something to busy herself with, be it work or her research. Sometimes she’d even choose to lose herself in some random cave at some far off region just to be able to get her mind off things. But that wasn’t the case today.

Ace of clubs

Cynthia would tell everyone that her deteriorating mood was because of external factors but only a hand full knew her real reason. To put it bluntly, she was in a bad mood. Not the offensive kind of mood, just the one where she’d usually stay in her own quiet bubble while the world danced around her.

Ace of hearts

She tapped at the side of her laptop as she stared at the screen with mild interest. There one could clearly see she was playing solitaire. A game she rarely played but today it had caught her eye.

Ace of spades

It was a fine day, birds singing, grass pokemon scurrying around the tall grass of the park she had decided to hang around. The champion had found a nice abandoned gazebo swing under a huge oak tree and decided that she’d stay there for today. After all she was sure no one would bother her there.

Ace of diamonds

A sip of her tea. This game was getting more intense by the minute and she had completely forgotten the world around her. Card after virtual card and still she could not move. It was amazing how even a computer game could put her in such a corner. But it was one of the best things to lighten up her mood today.

With her focus on the screen she didn’t really notice the person in front of her, staring. Probably a friend, probably a fan. She didn’t regard them as they decided to take a seat in front of her and take a peek at what she was so focused on. But the moment she felt this person’s burning eyes on her, she  jumped, eyes shooting to the direction of her new found companion.
