this video is genuinely so fascinating to me. i even bought a physical DVD copy of Dasaku because of the video 😖 it’s an interesting work for sure.

Hello lol. I just want to rant about my old project (not really old but like I gave up on it so). So basically I started developing this game in Ren’Py starting in September 2025. It’s not my first Ren’Py game ever (that would date all the way back to 2022). But it’s my longest project, and it’s not even finished. It was originally going to be 4 routes long, but then I got bored of it and mad at how sloppy it was. It’s now only 2 routes with approximately 59,000 words. The game is called “Sunny Days Fall From The Sky Like Raindrops”.

Ummm I hate it, but I also love it. I hate what it turned out to be, but I love what it TRIED to be. I was inspired by a handful of games and I failed to make any of that inspiration shine through in my opinion. The final product is pretty bad, and that’s not even talking about the art. I didn’t mind if my game had bad art because I just wanted to write a fun story… but the writing is disappointing too.

Maybe I’ll go in depth about the 2 routes of the game another day, but OH MY GOD someone please take my devices. I’m so embarrassed that I even tried selling this unfinished product for money, like just call me a scammer at this point 😞

I took it down from my itchio page for now. Maybe I’ll reupload it again one day. But the game almost feels problematic for how badly I handled some parts of it. Idk… maybe I’m being dramatic.

I hope to start writing another visual novel soon, but I can’t get any words down. I’m also just not a fan of anything I write (probably cuz of my writing style). I’ll try though anyways, cuz I have a lot of random ideas. Oh, and I’m going to hire someone to draw for me next time :P
