Doesn't matter if this is the crouch they will always use to sell for, if this is the only special and creative and the one to drive bait to people play the episode then there's something wrong with your game that should be about love stories and relationships.

The more we haha hehe this is just for funzies THEN its gonna always be that. And nothing more.

The moment when it should have been about Lys and Candy tying the knot, now everybody is commenting mostly about the sex scene and the proposal is just an after thought in one of the two routes of the episode.

One thing that is always constant is the feeling they want to keep outdoing themselves with each one of those situations and this is the easiest way of doing it... for funzies never serious, never letting emotions settle in and speak for themselves or even make the player reach for deeper.... it's always for haha hehe "I can't believe they did it" and this is sad. Because mcl could be so much more.

I really should say don’t get me started on Armin’s arc, but considering the amount of posts I already have about it and the fact that I still have something to say on it, I have already started. 

But Armin’s arc was not only so much having nothing to do with him, was kicked off by finishing up a completely different arc (Iris’), and then jumpstarted yet ANOTHER arc, the entire thing was overshadowed by Alexy. 

Armin gives us the silent treatment for not choosing him over Alexy and while I do not think how he spoke to Candy is okay, nor was expecting her to even fully understand what was happening (especially when Armin told her to check in with Alexy), I do think it said a lot on where his arc could have and should have went.

Alexy flat out says he wants to call, but Armin does not, and at no point does Candy try to get more information… She just goes with Alexy to figure out his journey. 

And I’m sure that hurt for Armin. We get various more tidbits of how he likely felt in a couple of episodes that follow like how he was anxious as a kid and how he feels if Candy decides to lie to him/doesn’t trust him. 

Sure, Armin keeps pushing her back and she doesn’t get a chance to know. Part of her probably thought helping Alexy was still doing what Armin wanted. But that’s… clearly not the case. Especially when we see how it ends. 

Going to Armin’s PoV– he loves technology, he’s been working on his skills, he found something that both can test his skill level and likely not cause issues as it’s their information anyway. Expects it to be empty because they were adopted as a baby. Parents are out of the picture, he’s moved past it. And then he finds a number. 

All those anxieties come back no matter how much he buries them. Alexy is pissed because he feels like Armin looked into this without him (when honestly, it likely wasn’t the case and ESPECIALLY when on Armin’s route, it makes even more sense for Armin to be getting a bit tired of constantly dealing with Alexy. Around Episode 32, if on Lysander’s route, you get even more on how Alexy and Armin are starting to pull apart. We’re never given the details of why, but I think the spin-off and 36/37 still gives us hints to it all) and of course leaps at finding out. 

And then we get to the start of the next episode and not only do we have Armin feeling completely uncomfortable and out of place (because he never wanted to be in this situation in the first place and finds more unsettling questions than comfort), Candy leaves due to her conversation with Laeti who she could’ve just told to come later and if that wasn’t bad enough, we get a 3 week time-skip that just tells us everything got better.

Armin’s feelings are never put into the limelight at ANY point. It’s all framed on what Alexy wants to do and how Alexy feels and no wonder Armin left when he pretty much was played second fiddle to his twin even in his own creation. 

And even the spin-off focuses on Armin and Alexy reconciling, but skips over Candy’s own making up with Armin (and furthermore, still agreeing with Alexy when she has all means to be more understandable…). 

There was tons of opportunity to bring up Armin’s insecurities with that– feeling like the second choice exploring more what can come up with one of the negative answers in Episode 32, feeling replaced as a brother with Evan to an extent, the fact that he did feel like Candy chose Alexy over Armin even if she thought she was just doing what Armin wanted, the idea of if people want to hang out with him or just want to hang out with him because they want to hang out with Alexy (or wanted more with Alexy and he’s gay, so hey look, here’s the twin that isn’t). The fact that Armin even says how their parents give in more to Alexy than him as Alexy is better at winning them over. 

There is SO MUCH we could’ve gotten there. So much that could’ve tied into those anxieties and exploded and had him both actually stop pushing things off as Mr. Laid Back.

And there were other things too! Like Armin saying how everyone finds him stupid and nobody really expects anything from him. And it’s not “Oh, Armin’s a really good hacker”, it’s “Armin is an idiot who got arrested” and stuff like this is pretty much the sole reason I can imagine him getting back into hacking because repeatedly we’re showed how nobody believes Armin can do his dream besides Candy and then that one support is gone. 

But no, we just got a one sentence of how everything is better now and moved on to the next thing. -_- 

Armin as a character has such a good personality but as in his story and character developement barely has any. He doesn’t have insecurities, issues or problems, he’s route is kinda easy for me since there isn’t an obstacle from his character except Evan (as a rival, we did have a conversation with Peggy and kinda had a crush with Armin but lead to nothing) but that was more focused as a rival in Kentin’s Route.

Just kidding! When it comes to jealous feelings, your Kacchan is very possessive.

He will immediately express that he is jealous and unhappy, even though he does it in a passive manner.

Because he isn’t good at communicating his feelings all the time, he shows his jealously through rough kisses and passionate grabbing of your waist, all day.

He seems to grip your hand a little tighter (of course not too tight) as you walk around in public.

His death glare could kill whatever man or woman dared to look at you.

He feels bad deep down, he knows you don’t exactly love his harsh behavior when he’s feeling a bit riled up.

He mutters how much he loves you, calls you Teddy Bear and waits for reassurance that everything is okay.

When you kiss his forehead and remind him how much he means to you, you can feel him untense his body and calm down.

Aizawa had hoped to come home and find you in bed so he could hold you close and doze off as well, but instead found an empty house. His feet thud around different rooms, his patience waring thin with each passing second, there is no way you could have gotten far, right?

All the precautions, the lengths he went to and you got past them, while an odd sense of pride fills his chest the anxiety and stress overwhelms it, why would you even leave? You were doing so well, the skittish behavior going away entirely and even being replaced with small bursts of affection for him. He can’t think of a single reason why you would just get up, make yourself some tea, and dart off.

Wait.

Aizawa stills for a few seconds, his mind turning gears as he slowly retraces his steps back to the kitchen, his eyes darting to the box of tea bags and bottle of honey left on the marble counter. He processes the situation and the suffocating worry now burns to ash, his legs quickly taking him to the back porch. Opening the door he is greeted with the image of you sitting on a swing set and gently swaying back and forth, a kitty mug in your hand with a quilt blanket resting around your shoulders.

“Oh, hey babe.” You say with a smile on your lips before turning your attention back to the pouring rain.

“What are you doing, kitten. Couldn’t sleep?” Aizawa asks, leisurely making his way over to you and planting himself besides you, his elbows resting on his knees.

“I just wanted to watch the rain. I love watching thunderstorms.” You reply back, your voice implying as if that’s the most obvious thing in the world. He nods and leans back, his arms crossing over his chest. For a few minutes everything goes silent between you both, the rain and faint thunder playing in the background as a comforting lullaby.

Aizawa glances at you, the corner of his lips tugging upwards when he see your eyes practically shining over the sight before you. He begins to tell you to come inside, that you should be sleeping, but the words whither away on his tongue before he can. Maybe it’s how sweet your lips look right now, or the serene wonder eclipsing your face, in the end it’s his hand reaching out to you instead of his voice. His knuckles brushing against your cheek, surprise flashing across your face before melting into a soft smile.

“We can watch for a little bit, but then we’re going to bed. Alright, kitten?” Aizawa says, swinging his arm around your shoulder. You snuggle up against his side and let out a snort.

“Yes, sir.” You snicker, Aizawa practically hearing you roll your eyes.

“Sir? I thought I told you, I prefer dad-” Aizawa begins to tease, but you slap a hand over his mouth.

“No, we're not going there. Now watch the rain and stop being a pervert.” You say with a lighthearted tone. Aizawa pulls your hand away and intertwines his fingers with yours, “whatever you want, kitten.”

Toshinori Yagi is- besides the hero thing- a fairly simple man. He’s a little impulsive at times, maybe even a little slow, but he has a kind heart and the right intentions. When he’s a hero, he’s everything that society loves- bold, daring, and charming. But all of that seems to kind of dull down once he’s out of his hero form. 

Toshi wishes he had the energy and determined mind to be like that at all times, but he doesn’t. Once he’s in his simple clothes, worn-out sneakers and messy hair, he’s not as confident. It’s hard to be like that all of the time. 

God, he wishes he had that strength. He wishes he could forget about anxiety and insecurity for a minute and just kiss you.
