Words hurt... just remember that.Â
Whatever happened to chivalry? Does it only exist in 80's movies? I want John Cusack holding a boombox outside my window. I wanna ride off on a lawnmower with Patrick Dempsey. I want Jake from Sixteen Candles waiting outside the church for me. I want Judd Nelson thrusting his fist into the air because he knows he got me. Just once I want my life to be like an 80's movie, preferably one with a really awesome musical number for no apparent reason. But no, no, John Hughes did not direct my life."
âI will sing even when I must pick my flowers amid thorns. The longer and sharper the thorns are, the sweeter my song will sound.â
St. Therese of Lisieux

Miss no single opportunity of making some small sacrifice, here by a smiling look, there by a kindly word; always doing the smallest right and doing it all for love.
St. Therese of Lisieux (via sermoveritas)
You know well enough that Our Lord does not look so much at the greatness of our actions, nor even at their difficulty, but at the love with which we do them.
- St. ThÊrèse of Lisieux
So that is all that Jesus wants from us. He does not need our accomplishments, only our love. He thirsts for love.

joy isnât found in the material objects surrounding us but in the inner recesses of the soul.

I think the worst kind of ending is the kind that happens regardless of having given it your all. You know, the kind of ending that just absolutely couldnât be prevented; it was essentially, inevitable. I suppose some things in life are for certain, and I suppose sometimes the certainty lies in the fact that all things must end. It sucksâ a lot, having to say goodbye earlier than youâd hoped. But thatâs life, and thereâs no point in arguing life.

Just because you donât get along well with someone, or you disagree with someone, or you have differences in opinion that canât be resolved, doesnât mean that youâre a bad person. You canât be best friends with everyone, and shit happens. No one is ever going to get along with everyone. It doesnât make you a bad person to see a friendship end like this. It just means that you are still learning about who you are and what values you believe are worth defending. Even if it ends badly, try to look on the bright side: everybody learns from these moments. You can walk away with the knowledge that you have learned and that you have a better sense of self because of it.
Friendship is, in my opinion, one of the most difficult relationships to maintain and one of the most difficult things to get over if it ends. When itâs over, itâs hard to accept it because you became friends for a reason; you have good memories with this person that a part of you wants to relive. But you should listen that other part of you thatâs saying itâs okay to move on and let it go. Itâs okay to give yourself a little space and to let yourself breathe. Itâs okay if you need to be on your own for a bit. And itâs perfectly okay to move on even if it was your fault, or if it was theirs, or if it was both or neither or youâre not sure.
This is your life to live and you donât have to let this hold you back. Keep your head up. Think it through. (Youâre not a bad person. Everybody is not for everybody.) Let yourself heal. And move on when youâre ready.
