sketched this a while ago, finally managed to give it a bit shape today :)  the anatomy’s a bit ‘meh’ , but hey, finally back to drawing :D

doodled Ye Xiu from THIS beautiful  chinese webnovel \0/ I stumbled on the news that it’s going to be animated yesterday, and the PV is glorious :’D (pun intended) and I hope they maintain the animation quality though the whole thing - it’s so pretteh~

so I was working on this new sprite and I found it amusing how the character changed over the years. Lower left pic is one of the original ones from 2010. and upper left from late 2011. I like to think I’ve gotten better at making different facial features and that my characters don’t suffer from the same face syndrome anymore :’D or do they? *derp* same thing with clothes xD my older male character designs mostly had sleeves/turtlenecks/sleeveless shirts/pullovers/ and tight pants with heeled boots.. *hides in shame*

Woo! I sketched it~ ... again~ ... *dances* :’D I have a love/despair relationship with this drawing. I keep redrawing it, years after years. (..though, that’s mainly because I really want to draw my version of the Fall of Lucifel the Lightbringer <_< ) It’s also to see how my drawing style changed through the years :’D  The original version is from way back - 2001./2.-ish. OC - Alien warrior by AndarielleVesstte He's still nameless so far :'D He's an mutated ant-like alien, usually they are really bulky and more like ants with natural carapace-like armor. Mutated ones are considered weak runts, because they lack strength, size and the natural protection of the species - even though they're more intelligent and less dependant on the hive-mind/Queen. Still plan to draw a bg in the future ^^
