Hello friends! During my Indigenous studies program at college and hearing about current social justice issues in the United States, I have decided to join the peaceful protest against the Dakota Pipeline in unity with Native American tribes and allies for a week.

Right now in the United States the government has planned to run a pipeline through 4 states where many Native American tribes peacefully live in reservations. This is the 3rd time that the government has decided to build on native land without any regard to the people since the sovereign nation was established. The pipeline threatens to contaminate the water that these tribes use to live and demolish sacred burial sites.

Currently all tribes from the States have joined together at standing rock to peacefully protest against this threat with thousands of allies. This protest has has been in motion for months already to protect this sacred land and water. I will be joining them for 1 week at the Standing Rock Campground attending frontline protests, suppling equipment, food and love to the community. I realized that staying quiet in this situation is utilizing my privilege and benefitting from the oppression of others. That is not okay.

I will be flying out of Olympia and missing a week of college for this trip. Your donation will help me pay for my tickets, food for the people, camping supplies, art materials and fuel for the change. I appreciate every donation so much, thank you for the support!
