She can see the car coming up the drive- door opening as it stops. He’s a vision of white skin and red leather— a trademark of blood and midnight. The black paper bag gently sways to and fro on his wrist as he saunters towards entrance. However, the sight of her on the balcony stops him- ivory haired head tilting to one side

Obsidian black glinting like finely polished gems.

Laughter reaches her first before he takes a running sprint, and clambers not unlike the spider she calls herself- reaching for handhold to handhold on the nearly smooth stone—

— until he swings himself neatly over the stone rail with a neat crouch.

The assassin stands neatly, brushing centuries old dust and small detritus off his leather before gently handing her the bag.

He’s getting there as fast as he can- having held the pilot with enough threats to hold him where he needed to. Thankfully, the negligee was something he’d already picked up as a present anyway. The op had finished, and while he hadn’t fed yet— the night was still young, and her mood had yet to pick up.

So!

That simply meant that it was ripe for a good time for both of them.

A wide grin splits his face as he makes his way out down the aisle of the jet— listening to the Talon guards with their silencers make their way into the cockpit. No ballistics, of course- but the satisfying thump of bodies hitting the floor.

He’s by no means as high up in the council as say, Moira or Reaper— but neither are either of them low hanging fruit.

The bag swings cheerfully back and forth around his wrist as he hums, making his way to the car that awaits him. From there, it’s a short trip to the Chateau- and his awaiting Lady.

Don't mind the spider next to the wright, all clad in silk and kept warm by expensive furs. The limo is comfy, luxurious, opulent, much like their entire world.

He doesn’t mind at all. His eyes are narrowed, comfortable and nestled next to her in expensive silks and wool. Their next stop, is of course- a rather exclusive venue that has been booked solid for over a year. They’ve had the tickets in reserve, and fast-tracked two jobs just so they could take their own personal vacation.

A platinum ring rests over the third finger of his left hand, an amethyst rose set tastefully with a small cluster of gems. It matches the silver band and garnet rose of her’s. They won’t ever get married, it’s too dangerous for a ploy... but this’ll be the closest they come to having a honeymoon.

Their life is too dangerous, too uncertain for solidity- but it doesn’t mean they won’t make it where they can.

An island of calm, in this sea of chaos they have in this odd afterlife.
