this. it’s been almost 20 years since 9/11, the TSA has caught precisely 0 terrorists, american wars in afghanistan, iraq and iran have become even more blatant resource grabs, and the police state has only gotteb worse. be ready for the exact same shut to happen “post” covid-19

right! its incredibly naive to think THIS will be the instance where they reel it back, when time after time they’ve shown us that is never the case. though, maybe this is the time where people will say enough is enough 

if you “like living in the city” it’s only because the “country” has been so thoroughly alienated and brutalized that paying exorbitant rent to live in some concrete-and-asphalt shit hole becomes a reasonable option. like, you realize that the lattice of boredom and isolation that runs through rural areas isn’t an inherent part of those territories, right? that it’s a function of the economic system that’s laid over it, and that very system can be destroyed?
