“it does.” He said bluntly, “it matters to me, and so long as the species is indeed continued it shouldn’t matter how much time we choose to spend getting ready.” His arms remained folded on his chest, “She’s living what life she can before having to become a mother. Leave her be, she will eventually come around.” He said cooly trying not to get nippy-but kan always had a way of getting under his skin, and this talk of his fiance like she were a mere breeder wasn’t helping his spoiling mood.

“sorry to burst your bubble Your highness, but some people actually enjoy children and want to help them grow, and find themselves.” He scowled at her when she brought up his job, and he leaned back in his seat, “I’ll make the time needed to be the father my children need. That’s what good parents do.”

His glare remained and widened slightly at the suggestion of finding someone else to take his place. With a slow breath he leaned back in his seat, not even glancing at the fallen pencils. “You always know just how to piss me off.” He snapped, standing from his seat and sending the bulky leather roller wabbling backwards. “I’ll tell you this just once. I will not stand to be replaced.” His fangs lengthened as he his growled. “I’ve fought long and hard for this city, and I’ve more then earned my place at her side. If you even try to bring someone else in, I will shred them to bits before they can even get aquainted.”

He scowled at her, teeth gritted tight. "I have no interest in getting into a marital debate with you." he held his tongue and mentioning her own relationship with her husband, knowing that that would probably be a step too far. "I'm telling you here and now I will kill anyone you bring in to try to replace me. I don't give a damn what you say, Andie is going to be my wife and we are going to decide together when we are ready for children."

He considered the question, smiling Abit. “Steak I suppose- if I were back home I’d much rather cook more traditional barbecue meats with my brother and his family but that’s something you need multiple people who know what their doing for.” His eyebrows rose, “if I ever get the chance to travel and bring some back with me I’ll let you try it- my brother makes the best bbq chicken breast.”

Busanis dark eyes watched his companion as he waited for his answer.. admittedly it wasn’t much a suprise-but one could’ve hoped. “If you really want to leave I could get you lessons.” He smiled, “even if it’s just for a certain cooking type like baking.” He waved his hand, “it’s a good skill to have, for whenever you’re on your own again.”

Bus smiled at his answer to being claimed, glancing down at his plate he took another fork food of food chewing slowly before he swallowed. “What about if I were to inquire about claiming you?” His eyebrows shot up, interested in the others response. “I find myself quite enjoying your sharp wit and personality. It’s a fun fresh take on what I typically deal with and..of course there is the physical aspect-i think we both rather enjoy?”

He’d take his word for it, as he didn’t know one way or another how things like that work. He also didn’t realize the other had a brother, not that he’s ever asked him about these sort of things. “Sounds nice.” He nodded, “Don’t think I’ve had any good barbeque in a while.” He said, realizing he wasn’t sure if he had tried any barbeque that was decent. He couldn’t count the food they give them at the chateau, it wasn’t horrible but couldn’t compare to anything homemade. 

Wesley would shrug his shoulders, he didn’t have an opinion either way if he was given lessons or not. Not really something he had much choice in, though he couldn’t deny that he’d be pretty curious and wouldn’t turn down an offer to try. “It wouldn’t hurt to learn something useful.” He nodded, “Hopefully it won’t be too hard to learn, cooking can be difficult, from what I’ve heard.” Mainly from the descriptions that some of the cooks he knows use when talking about their work. However, those people likened cooking to art, so they had different view of things.

At the others mild concern he waved his hand lightly. "It's only hard if you over think it. With practice and a good teacher anyone can learn to cook. And lucky for you I'm pretty good with the skillet." He winked before taking a sip of his drink.

Busani smiled loweyed, "Younger is not always better Wesley." He cocked his head loweyed, "And I for one think all you humans are rather young from my point of view." His dark eyes flickered Abit with clear interest. "I find you very interesting Wesley.. and for such an old cat like myself..that is hard to come by." Chuckling at his quip he leaned his chin against his knuckles. "I highly doubt any human has made you cum as hard as I have. " His tongue flickered out from between his lips, teasing swiping against his lower one. "And if so I'll simply have to prove myself better."

Leaning back in his seat busani exhaled. "But on a more serious notes..I have truly found myself enjoying your company Wesley, and I would like to see to it that you live a life of comfort. I won't force you to be under my charge but I simply ask that you consider it, if you need time I'm willing to give it to you.. and if you have any questions you're more than welcome to ask." He shook his head chuckling loweyed, testing ones limits huh? He thought to himself, “I never knew another person who would openly seek danger just to see what the out come would be. You really do baffle me sometimes with how fearless you can be.” After all the fall wouldn’t kill her-but it most definitly would hurt.

Busani grinned against her lips letting out a low groan as her tongue brushed up against his. “So long as it isn’t something ridiculous I’ll take whatever you give me.” He teased, firm hands moving lower to cup her buttocks under the warm water and squeezed firmly.

“My child will be raising in a healthy loving environment by their parents. I have no intention of throwing them to some nanny and running off to play absent parent.” His fangs lengthened slightly, “This job is none of your concern, you have three other children who could bare you heirs yet you’re pressuring Andie so hard to conceive. Have you not considered the stress may be hindering her ability to carry children?”

His lips curled slightly at her once again questioning his ability to get Andie pregnant. “We will conceive only when Andie is ready. She has had so little choice in her life and this is someone I don’t plan to take from her. I don’t want my future wife to grow to despise and regret our children, that is a cycle I’d like to break.” His arms crossed, “why are you here? Just to rule me up?”

The vampire smiled, “Sometimes I cook for myself other times my inhome cook prepares food for me. It mostly depends on how much time I have on hand.” He took a sip from his glass, eyeing the red liquid within it. “but I have to admit I do enjoy cooking for myself from time to time,there’s just something so freeing about preparing your own meal.”

Admittedly that probably sounded silly coming from someone like himself, he was probably one of the most ‘free’ people in the city, and yet..he meant what he said.

Busani looked over at Wesley curiously,“do you know how to cook?” His dark eyes softened slightly at the males reluctant response and he blew out a sigh. “No I suppose not.. admittedly I’ve been rather.. forceful with you in the past.” He partially regretted it but not completely.

At the question he considered his answer, deciding to throw one of his own out instead of directly addressing the question. “Have you ever thought about being claimed?”

“Mm.” He hummed, not at all surprised he’d have someone to cook for him. It wasn’t something he’d judge him over, he was certain if he was in the same position he would have hired someone, too. Only because he lacked the necessary skills to cook. “What’s your favorite thing to make?” He asked, peering over his plate.

His question had him chuckling, wondering if he knew just what most slaves went through in the span on their lives. Suppose he shouldn’t hold it too much against him, many didn’t pay much attention to them unless they needed something. “No, I don’t, wouldn’t be against learning.” He shrugged, “Maybe it’ll get me out of cleaning a bar.”

Whispering soft nothing’s about how he loved the sound of her voice. “The only thing I dislike is your insistence on crowd surfing every party you do to.” He smirked cocking an eyebrow, “while you heal fast little one I don’t like seeing you hit the ground.”

Busani knew he’d kind of vanished for a while- but with work and the help he was giving Kate, he’d had a severe lack of free time lately. He’d hoped this could help make up for it, atleast alittle bit.

When the other confirmed he was enjoying the meal busani smiled, placing a cleaned bone on the plate and cleaning his hands and mouth on a napkin. “I do, Though personally I prefer home cooked meals.” He smiled, “they just have a extra Something to them you don’t get at a restaurant.”

He eyed the other for Abit, wondering what he was thinking about. “If your wondering if this is going to end with me wanting something from you.. just let that thought go.” He picked another wing up, eyeing it for the best angle to attack it from.“I just wanted to catch up is all.. I also had some stuff I wanted to speak with you about as well.”

The mention of home cooked meals had him wondering if the other actually made himself food or if he had someone else do it. He had money, with his poistion in vampire society, he must have all sorts of help in his every day life. “You do? Do you make things yourself or do you have someone else do it?” He asked curiously, thinking further on that thought and wondering what his favorite meal was. 

It was as if he could read his thoughts, though he guessed it was easy to read what he was thinking on his face. He didn’t trust vampires as far as he could throw them, especially since after the event. His run in with Dominic had him distrusting them even more. He’d shift a bit in his seat allowing his shoulders to rise and fall in a shrug. “Okay, can’t blame me for thinking it, can you?” He nodded, knowing he could trust Busani a bit more than anyone else of his kind. 

“Stuff? What sort of stuff?” He asked curiously, that piqued his curiosity way more than he was expecting. His curiosity didn’t stop him from eating, his fork easily stabbing into the food before shoving it into his mouth.

“Never, I will never get bored of you Andie..” his arms slid around her waist and gently squeezed her frame against his. “I could listen to you go on and on for hours about anything and be utterly content.” When she looked up at him he kissed her forehead tenderly. “Perhaps? Both humans are from local bars, ones name is Eros and the other is Wesley. They’re both interesting individuals in their own right.. honestly kind of the opposite of eachother temperament wise but I think that’s part of their appeal.”

He smiled loweyed when she defended that he wasn’t boring, the male couldn’t help but laugh under his breath. “If you’d known me in my younger years I think you’d change your mind.” Of course he didn’t mind being boring, Andie was wild enough for the both of them. His hands moved to stroke her hips slowly. “You don’t have to force yourself to be with me tonight Andie. I know you’re dealing with a lot mentally..” his dark eyes searched her expression quietly. “But if you need me to love you tonight, I will gladly do so.”

He chuckled lowly into her neck, kissing up to the space behind her ear. Whispering soft nothing's about how he loved the sound of her voice. “but I am sorry.” He spoke lowly, “hurting the ones you love because you have to is one of the most painful things anyone can experience.” And he was sorry that she had to go through that especially after everything else. “I think the fact that she didn’t fall out run is a good sign.” He stated

His smile was old and sad, stroking her cheek busani nodded, “I know so. You may have a temper and hidden anger within but you are not your mother.” His lips linger against her neck, kissing and gently sucking to offer some physical comfort. “It makes sense that she would be.. they trust so easily and are hurt even easier. Time is what she needs, I’m sure eventually she’ll come around..”

When his hand was kissed, bus smiled. “I like it when you talk about yourself..” he gently squeezed her hand. “But I have been all right just doing my work and trying to keep busy I suppose, I found a couple of candidates for my new house claims as my current ones are reaching their retirement.” When they reach that stage he would free them and give them a home and enough money where they could live out their days and comfort. “Not much else has been going on for me though, you know me just a boring old man living life.”

"I could listen to you go on and on for hours about anything and be utterly content." When she looked up at him he kissed her forehead tenderly. "Perhaps? His dark eyes gazed down at her, sad and knowing. Andie always felt so displaced from her family, she was so different from her siblings and the way her mother and father treated her like an outsider certainly didn’t help.. she couldn’t even leave the city to find herself. Busani didn’t know what it was like to be so utterly trapped.. but he wanted nothing more then to free her.

“You did?..” he side heavily upon hearing just what his fiance had had to do to her partner. His large hand came to rest against her shoulders rubbing a slow soothing Circle and a small attempt to bring her some comfort. “I’m sorry little one, I’m so sorry..” it was likely whatever trust she had built with nia was now shaking to it’s very core.. humans were such fragile frightened things after all.

“Your anger scares you, so you say that it’s the part of her within. But the fact that you regret it..” he touched her face loweyed, “proves that you are different from Kanopia.” His thumb tenderly stroked her cheek, “very well.. perhaps time is what she needs right now.. I’m sure deep down she knows that you wouldn’t have done it on you’re own.. but I agree that space is probably what is needed.” He tucked her close kissing the side of her neck, “you’re a good woman Andie.. Nia is probably just shaken.. time and space, will let her see you did what you had to. To protect her ”

His smile was old and sad, stroking her cheek busani nodded, "I know so. You may have a temper and hidden anger within but you are not your mother." His lips linger against her neck, kissing and gently sucking to offer some physical comfort. "It makes sense that she would be.. they trust so easily and are hurt even easier. “I like to think i am yes, though we live kingdoms apart.” His smile almost became weary as he thought of his family off across the sea. “And you?”

At her shy behavior he chuckled lowly, “Come now- dont be shy.. this is one of the few nights of the year you humans can have fun, take advantage of it.” He did his best not to show his sneer at the mention of kanopia- he could offer the woman that much on the eve of her birthday. “Well theres tons of games and rides.. why dont you let me chaperone you to some?” He smiled

“Im sure youd enjoy the fun house, as well as the ring toss and apple bobing..theres loads of fun things to do.”

“I have a lot of siblings, so I can’t say I’m always close with all of them, but yes, I think so. Most of them are older though, they’re all starting to do their own thing, so it’s been…different?” she said with a little smile, though it was clear that maybe it was a change she wasn’t ready for. Unsurprising, really, because outside of a few exceptions, they made up the bulk of her ‘friends’. 

He realized it must’ve had something to do with the royals upon what she said, and annoyance swirled in his chest. Likely one of her parents had upset her so much.. once in the bath he cleared her face before focusing on smoothly movie the warm water over her skin. Listening to her and just letting Andie get everything out that she needed to.

Shaking his head, bus pulled Andie close and held her.“you’re nothing like Kanopia Andie. You’re everything she isn’t and more.. “his lips brushed her temple, "I can talk with nia if you think it’d help, perhaps I can get her to tell me how she’s feeling about what happened.”

Sure vampires never got sick but.. still, he just didn’t like the idea of her shivering in the cold. “Safe?” He removed her top before tugging her closer and reaching around to unclip her bra. “What happened, Did someone threaten you?” His voice took on a deeper tone, busani had always been protective in nature, and he didn’t like to hear that the woman he loved felt unsafe, even if she was more than capable of protecting herself.

Once the bra his the floor her bottoms were next, he carefully helped her out of them, before her slowly stood, smoothing his warm hands up her hips to bring some heat to her chilled skin. At her plea to bathe and stay with her busani shut his eyes, he had no issue messaging the council and saying they would have to conclude without him but this was just so strange.. what could have happened?“of course little one.” Kissing her cheek he helped her into the tub before her started to undress himself, sex wasn’t on the mind but it was clear that Andie needed-wanted someone to be close to her right now.

Once he was fully nude busani joined his fiance in the tub and tucked her closely against his chest before taking a rag off of the side and dipping it in the water. Squeezing the excess out he brought it to her face and began to carefully remove the streamed makeup,“talk to me Andie.. what happened?” His dark eyes were shadowed with concern. When his claim peaked in to check on them he asked her to make some warm tea and to bring it to them when it was done.

Busani had been about to head out for a late night meeting with the other council members when a knock came at his door. He answered it before his claim did and was shocked to see his fiance standing out utterly soaked by the rain.

“Andie-” he reached out to her but before he could pull her inside and launched into his arms clinging to him- dumbfounded, he glanced out the door to see if anyone was persuing before tucking and arm around her and pulling her into the house shutting the door. He called to his claim to start a warm bath before looking down at the small female.

“Little one-” he leaned back touching her cheek-ice cold. Cursing under his breath he began leading her to the bathroom. “What in the world are you doing running around in the rain with no umbrella? You’re absolutely freezing Andrea.”

Once in the bathroom he began to help her get undressed, “let’s get you into a warm bath and Something warm to drink. Then you can tell me what happened.”
