Ode to Dolores

Dolores means ‘pain’ in Spanish. A double pain. ‘Dolores’ is plural for ‘pain’. Pain is always plural. As if one pain wasn’t enough. Dolores was given ‘pains’. Pain is always plural, just like empathy. Empathy is to feel somebody’s pain(s). Empathy is always plural. Dolores was always We. We feel you. We miss you already. We pain with you. We pain(s).

Hopefully the debate about ‘nu-metal’ and the hidden racism behind it is finally over.

It's not a secret that since Rock & Roll became a white-skin-only genre rockstars have seen non-traditional instruments-music like Hip-Hop, Pop music or EDM like a piece of shit, something to look down to. Rockism, 'Disco Sucks' and 'selling out' have been part of that strategy.
