“For a while I was broken. I lost my friends, loved ones, people I fought alongside with since the beginning… I had to pull myself up and keep going. To be able to move forward with my life. Though I still have nightmares, I don’t have them as often anymore. The doctor says that it will take time before they are gone completely, but some days it feels like I’m not making any progress… that I will never be over the memories of those that I lost.
