I think a lot of us tend to forget that our past lovers or partners or friends we have on our minds longer than usual are just the perceptions and image we have of them from a specific time. it’d be unfair and quite selfish to want to rekindle that flame because u missed them for the few weeks they were lingering in ya head. they’ve grown and evolved just as we have, im sure. i catch myself thinking about my first boyfriend and think how we can work it all out again bc im smarter now and older. but the only reason why this false idea of a possible reconciliation would feel “attainable” is because he was immortilized in my mind that never aged, never grew and never changed
